Hi ladies,
Is it more effective using the progesterone pessaries in the front or back? I tend to mix it up between both areas. But I didn’t know if one was more effective?
Hi ladies,
Is it more effective using the progesterone pessaries in the front or back? I tend to mix it up between both areas. But I didn’t know if one was more effective?
I'm using them at the mo got my frozen transfer on Thursday I do front and back I don't think it makes a difference hun but not sure xx
I was using them only in the front but I mentioned to the clinic about the back door as others on here said it was less messy. My clinic said not to and to continue using the front, but I think it’s one of those things that differs from clinic to clinic I’m afraid x
I was also told to use front by my clinic, but I never asked why really or questioned it, so just put up with it, but it was a fresh transfer, so not as many weeks on it as with a frozen potentially.
Therefore not sure if it matters really - all the best!!
My clinic said use front or back it didn’t matter! So I’ve been using back just because I didn’t like the mess! X
It depends which ones you have-Cyclogest can in theory go up either, Utrogestan vaginal only, although Cyclogest are only licensed for IVF vaginally. Back passage seems to get higher blood concentration but vaginal may get better local concentration. Go with whatever your clinic tell you xx
My clinic automatically prescribe the front as that's what they have in stock and is only for the front. I asked for ones for the back as my last transfers I have got a bartholin cyst and think it was due to the mess. They game me a prescription to back up back pesseries and found them so much better xx
I asked the nurse last time and she said effective wise it didn’t make a difference 👍🏼
On my last 2 rounds, I used the back but my new clinic insist I use the front for our upcoming FET.
