So our 8th transfer failed, I had spotting on and off since 3dp5dt so not a huge shock but still cutting.
Our next steps are already in place and with this period I start medication for an endometrial biopsy including an ERA test. Really hope we get some answers and something new to try for our next transfer.

That’s good to hear about the ERA are you following the same protocol for your next FET? They also look at the ‘immune environment’ of the uterus so not sure if that’s NK cells or something else? Did you have them tested?xx
Yes we will be - when my effing cyst disappears!! So if they are doing ALICE/EMMA they will be looking at the microbiomes to see if the bacteria is normal. NK cells are when your natural defence cells are really active and can potentially stop embryos implanting (although this is up for debate still)... I didn't have mine done, but I've since realised that as my mum has an autoimmune disease it could be an indicator that mine are raised too. So I wish I had had them tested. My clinic doesn't really believe in them though which is why I didn't. xx
Hope your cyst hurries up and goes soon for you! I asked about EMMA and ALICE but they said not enough evidence for that so I’m not sure, basically they said it’s an endometrial biopsy as part of an implantation failure clinic. My clinic is nhs so doesn’t do it but I’m hoping they will still accept the results. My consultant said they’d do all they can to help so hopefully!xx
Im so sorry to hear hun, 8 transfers are a lot! Are your embryos genetically tested- in case they have abnormalities? I don’t know how old you are but totally worth looking into that if you haven’t already. Good luck 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
Thanks, I did ask about this a while ago but I was 28 when the embryos were made so they said it didn’t really apply to us. I think if we did another fresh round it’s something I would ask about xx
I'm sorry to hear about your BFN hun, it's just pants. I really hope you can get some answers as to why this keeps happening so your in a better place for your next transfer. Sending a hug 💕xXx
I am so sorry, this is absolutely painful. I had 3 transfers so far and all 3 ended in chemicals. Hope the tests will give some answers. Stay strong 💪🤗
It’s really very sorry to hear this. You must be feeling very low. It sounds like you have had some serious struggles and must be such a strong person. I know it's really very upsetting seeing BFN when testing early. I would try the FRER test which is a bit more sensitive. I have not had a clear blue line. But on the first time it showed positive results with a faint line on FRER at my 12dp5dt.So, don’t lose heart. Moreover, I think ERA is also very useful. It changes our 24 hours. Take time for yourself. You have done your best and all you can possibly do. All the best dear.
Thanks, my clinic don’t ask us to test till 14dp5dt and if it’s negative they ask us to stop medication so it’s definitely over but I’ll dust myself off and be back for another once these tests are done xx
Oh damn it, had so hoped for better news! Really really sorry to hear this, you certainly deserved a BFP by now!
Hope the ERA test is giving you something else to try. You’re a fighter. Allow yourself some nice wine and treats and then focus on the next round! Big hugs
Going to have my transfer Wednesday. Am taking more progesterone and longer (skipped the ERA test as our second opinion was so convinced I was always on such short progesterone protocol that it was almost certain we’d be told to take it longer) and also on Prednisolone and had a scratch. Work is a nightmare so have taken a few days off and seeing my GP Wednesday in the Hope I can get signed off for a bit. Normally I’d like to keep busy to keep my mind off things but can’t risk work screwing up our last cycle, and it’s really bad right now...
That’s great that they’ve changed things for you. I hope you manage to get signed off, know exactly what y oh mean about wanting to give your all to your last one, really hope it works for you xx
Thank you. A bit annoyed they didn’t change anything the previous six cycles but let’s hope this last thaws well like the others and this is the magic mix! Wish you all the best too, I’ll be cheering you on!
So sorry Core, absolutely gutted for you. It’s a brutal old process. But great that you have your next steps planned and I really hope that the tests shed some more light on things and mean that there’s something that they can tweak to help improve things next time. Hold on in there lovely, you are an absolute trooper. Sending huge hugs xx
Not bad thanks. Looking forward to starting our first attempt with DE fairly soon. I’m due to hopefully finish off a qualification I’ve been doing for ages in May, so would ideally love to get going as soon as possible after that. But all will depend on the waiting list xx
Awww I'm so sorry Core!😕 Its great that you are planning ahead, I really hope you get some answers going forward. It's hard trudging on, your legs get tired but hang on in there!!😘xxx
