Hello. I'm currently going through my first egg freezing treatment and have been given Suprefact Buserelin as my trigger injection to take in a few days. My sister who is at a different clinic but had similar blood levels/follicle count as me (and is 18 months younger), so I was wondering what the difference is with Buserelin and Gonasi? Or if anyone has had experience with both?

Buserelin vs Gonasi
Hi there, I've had both triggers. Physically there was no difference for me and I think they are both the same drug essentially - so I think it is a preference of the clinic. The only difference for me was that for my first Gonasi trigger I had 10,000 and it wasn't quite strong enough so the next time I had 12,500 and it was perfect. How much have they given you? x
My clinic changed mine from gonasi to buserelin due to OHSS. The gonasi is Hcg which can make OHSS worse so this may be why?
Ah. My clinic said that I was at risk of OHSS. Did you do more than one cycle? I.e have you experienced both triggers or did they change it during the same cycle?
No this is my first cycle but I started with OHSS symptoms on the last day of stims so they changed my trigger and said I would have a freeze all, gave me cabergoline to take for 8 days and fragmin injections to start 2 days after EC until further notice. I was on a low dose of Meriofert too - only 150 then increased to 225 after 7 days and that kind of sent my ovaries mad.
