We finally got NHS funding approval at the end of January. It took 6 weeks so doesn't sound long but felt like ages!
Now that we have approval, does any one know how long it takes to get a consent appointment/the forms etc? We're with Care Fertility in Woking.
I realise this is going to be different for every clinic but just thought I'd see what other people's experience was?
I also realise I'm probably just being impatient but every day we are waiting to start feels like forever and we've still got so much of the journey left to go 😔

Hi there. I’m also with care woking. Got funding approval in august 2020, had consent meeting Nov 20 and I’m currently 2 days post transfer. It’s a long process, even longer due to COVID but work the wait. I was so impressed with the clinic and their care quality so you’re in the best hands. Hang in there and good luck! X
Thanks so much for your reply. That's really helpful to know timings. And also nice to hear that you're impressed with the clinic, its such a big decision choosing one so I'm relieved they sound good! Good luck with your journey! X
It was reasonably quick for us from that point at care Woking despite covid. I recall giving them a ring to find out lead time and then they put me on next cycle. There's a consultant meeting (Aug) and long ish nurse meeting going through treatment to schedule first, then wait for next cycle. I guess it did take a couple of months to then be at the point of putting in the drugs (Oct). My first cycle wasn't successful but I have been impressed with their approach so far. Currently on second cycle. Good luck!
Thank you so much for your reply. I might give them a call then and see what the lead time is. I'm sorry to hear your first cycle wasn't successful, good luck with your second cycle. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! X
