Hi all
I’m due to have a natural FET next month so decided to have a practice with the clear blue ovulation tests this month.
So far I’ve had 7 days of flashing smiley which is making me worry that I’m not going to get a solid.
Does anyone have any experience of the ovulation tests? Thinking if I don’t get a solid by Monday, I’ll call the clinic and ask whether I need to rethink a natural FET.

Are you temp charting as well? I find the 2 together the most helpful for determining ovulation although if the clinic require a definite peak on the OPK temp is less helpful. It may help indicate when your LH peak was, though, if you missed it, so it’s easier to spot next time (some need to test more than once a day to catch it). Xx

I’d recommend combining clearblue with the cheap strips. You can do the strips 3 times a day when you think you might be close otherwise it can be missed x
What calendar day did you start testing? It can sometimes go more than 10 days. Temp checking in conjunction is definitely a great way to back up the peak once you get it. It's so normal to get stressed about how many flashing you get before a peak. Good luck xx
My clinic wouldn’t let me use clearblue digital OPKs for natural FET (and I’d used them for years whilst trying naturally) because they said they can detect the surge late. I’d use the cheap strips and download an app like Premom where you can take a photo of the test and it does the same as the clearblue and tells you if it’s low/high/peak
Hi, that's interesting your clinic saying they can detect LH surge late with the clearblue digital as its the only one my clinic recommends to use. The 2 day pinpoint clearblue digital one , not the 4 day one that also tracks oestrogen, perhaps the latter is the one they were referring to. The clearblue do have a higher threshold at 40 miu so may detect the LH closer to when ovulation will occur than the cheaper strips however because it provides a smiley face it takes any guesswork out of the cheapie strips as often people think they have surged when in fact its only close and they haven't. I had my son using the clearblue digital on a natural cycle. I'd say use it not a problem. xx
The clear blue give false results. Use the cheap strips from amazon and temping. Log it in fertility friend.
Hiya, tbh i've been using the clearblue digital 2 day one which is excellent just provides the LH surge and not the 4 day one that includes 2 different hormones i.e the oestrogen rise which is useless, all us ladies need to know is the LH surge X
I’m going to buy the 2 day ones for my FET next month and hopefully have some joy. I stopped testing today at 13 days of flashing smiley!
Not the two day clearblue digital is not misleading in my opinion. Because its only tracking LH and not the oestrogen like the 4 day one, it can't give false results. You do have to be organised on your testing i'd say though, twice a day first thing in the morning and no less than 3 hours later + to test again . I normally catch it by midday each month. X
I used clear blue digi as well as having scans and bloods at the clinic for my natural FET which ended up cancelled due to no dominant follicle. Eventually I did get a positive after the cycle was cancelled but I’ll never know whether that was accurate or not - the doc didn’t seem to think it was possible with no dominant follicle at the point on the cycle when they cancelled. I then had a medicated FET which failed and I decided I wanted to give natural another go so bought some more clear blue digital as well as cheapies to help me decide whether it was worth another to and we conceived naturally 2 weeks after our BFN from the failed FET. I never got a positive on the cheapies but got close to positive, if it wasnt for the clear blue digi probably wouldn’t be where we are now so I’m a big fan! Even if you don’t get a pos this time it doesn’t mean you won’t next time like I did x

It was after the failed medicated one I decided I wanted to try a natural cycle FET again so had a months test run to see if I got positive ovulation tests etc and to check it would be worth trying natural FET again. And it happened that month ☺️ Very lucky and still in shock at 9 and a bit weeks x

Hi hun, don't use that 4 day one that also detects Oestrogen, use the 2 day one clearblue digital the one that says ' detects your 2 most fertile days'. The one you are using is so confusing it includes tracking oestrogen levels... as you only need to know when you get your surge which the pin point 2 day one will tell you!. That's the only one i've ever used.And i am really experienced with them been tracking my ovulation with the 2 day clearblue for years! Throw it away and get this one. Its just the LH surge it looks for and not the confusing oestrogen rising which is why your getting all these days, because your leading up to surging. You want to test when you wake up first morning urine if no surge detected on first urine, try not to drink then for several hours and re-test 3 hours later. Do this each day until you get your surge. If you know when you approximately ovulate, a good starting day is 4 days prior and do it twice a day, once when you wake and then late morning again. You do have to leave approx 3 hours between wees in order to pick it up!, Many women don't get the surge on first waking up as it can take a few hours to show in the wee Lh hormone is often made in the morning, hence why you don't want to be diluting it with drinks to be able to detect it! I usually get my LH surge around 11.30/12 midday. You shouldn't look at the inside strip insude, but through experience i can determine how close i am to getting the surge by how dark the colour is building on the test strip each day. Obviously the smiley LH surge is your confirmation though! Ovulation is normally the following day from detecting the surge ( which is why its called 'detects your 2 most fertile days') you call the clinic as soon as you get that surge smiley face! They would then book you in 6 days later for your transfer ( with a 5 day blastocyst) the idea being ovulation = day 0 + 5 days = 6th day is transfer day. The timing is to match the maturity of the lining. Good luck. XX

Sorry just realised you are transferring next month - trial run if i remember. Sensible decision get the 2 day clearblue for next month xx
