Hi all, I’m on CD4 and due to be having a natural FET this month after a freeze all in January. I had originally asked the clinic for progress scans to monitor ovulation because I’ve not used ovulation tests much in the past. But they’ve said they don’t routinely do them. Do you think it’s ok to just rely on the ovulation tests? Also, I was going to push for added progesterone, any views please?
Anyone else having a natural FET this month?
Thanks, xxx

I’m having my transfer later this morning for my first natural cycle. I have used ovulation sticks in the past so was okay with them. They’re absolutely fine, I would definitely recommend getting the Clearblue digital ones as they give you a flashing smiley face then your fertility is high and then a static smiley face when you’re at your peak and have had your LH surge. Super easy and mine have always been spot on (I know as I can feel when I ovulate on the one side) and managed to get pregnant once last year using them!
This cycle and I had a baseline scan on CD11 where they could see a mature follicle and thick lining, got my peak on CD12, felt ovulation on CD13 and rescanned post LH surge on CD14 - scan shown that I had ovulated and was booked for my transfer 6 days post the peak so CD18 today.
I also questioned progesterone as I have it at home already from my original medication order but because of a freeze all didn’t use them. My consultant said as they’re there o can use them if I want to. I wasn’t sure so asked the embryologist when they booked me in for transfer and they said they don’t routinely recommend it because in a natural cycle you make your own and don’t need the additional as a standard, she also said due to the timings and things you can sometimes do more harm then good. So I’ve decided not to use them and just trust my body does what it needs 🤞🏽
I had a natural FET in Feb. I didn’t use sticks but my clinic did still tell me to use the trigger injection and I am on progesterone. My cycle is a pretty normal 28 day cycle and I ovulate on day 15. It’s the best thing I ever did having the more natural FET. I am now pregnant with twins after two miscarriages. I think different clinics offer different things but go with whatever your clinic has suggested. Maybe have a progesterone blood test on the day of transfer. That way you’ll know if you need extra progesterone. X
I had my successful Natural FET in January and I used the clear blue smiley face ovulation tests as I find it works really well for me, I also used internet cheaply ovulation sticks just as a back up! No scans or anything by my clinic and at the point of embryo transfer and leading up to my BFP I was not given any progesterone but I did go on it around 6/7 weeks as instructed by my recurrent miscarriage clinic but my actual fertility clinic didn’t feel I would need it xx
