Hello I have just been contacted today from my fertility work up. We have been trying for 7 years now. I never had IVF. All they give me was egg boosting meds. Unfortunately, my period always come so they have decided to go for IVF. I just want to ask how much it will cost me. Or do I have to pay for it? Btw I'm 32. Thanks for your reply.
IVF: Hello I have just been contacted... - Fertility Network UK
IVF
It depends on where you are based and if there are programmes you can access that give you free treatments (like in the UK, Australia, NZ, for example). Or if you have insurance that will cover it. Honestly, there’s a huge price difference for IVF cycles depending on where you are in the world.
You may qualify for a free nhs round(s). It all depends on your specific CCG. Or if you pay privately, there are huge differences is the costs private companies offer and it depends what exact treatment you go for. No one can give you an exact answer unfortunately, you will need to do your research x
I did IVF at carefertility (carefertility.com/), The IVF itself cost me 3900 £, but another 3200 $ cost me donor eggs, bought from copyofme.com/
+ some more tests, for a total of approximately £ 7200
When it comes to NHS, it depends on your CCG as has been said - you’ll have to ask them what they cover and what are the eligibility criteria. If you end up paying privately, as has been said there are huge differences depending on the clinic and what treatment you end up needing - but there are also finance companies you can look at, we decided to go with a company that gave an IVF ‘package’ - they cover two fresh rounds and unlimited frozen rounds for £6500. It comes up comparatively expensive if you get pregnant first round, but cheaper if you need the second... And you have to pay for your own meds anyway, so that’s easily another £1000 per fresh round..... (only about £80 for frozen!).
It’s a lot to take in, first step is first, ask your GP what your local NHS do and good luck! 🤞 x
Unfortunately, no one can give you an exact answer. You will need to do some research or google them. It depends on where you are going to do your programs (like in the Ukraine, Uk, Australia, NZ, for example). Or if you have insurance that will cover it. Honestly, there’s a huge price difference for IVF cycles depending on where you are in the world. It's my first round of IVF too. Maybe that’s the reason I am so anxious as I really don’t know what to expect and truly hope neither of us have to go through this again. I'm having my IVF done through the NHS but they do offer counselling. But I Think it's difficult to make the time with work. I will try if things don’t go as planned in a few days. is your private or NHS?? 😘😘💐💐
