Good evening all. Quick question on DHEA. I have been taking it since May 2020 and my testosterone has always fluctuated. I was on the highest dose and my testosterone went from 0.09 to 0.40, then dropped, then went back up and so on... The highest it has been was 1.25 and then it dropped to 0.34 in 2 months even though I have not changed dosage or the way I am taking DHEA. Has anyone else had anything similar? I was not advised to stop taking them as it does not do anything for me. I find it so strange! When everyone is praising DHEA and it just doesn't work for me. Annoying... Will not be talking to my Doc till end of month and would be nice to see if anyone has experienced it. Thank you xx

Hello I’m just back from my post consultation - unfortunately on my 3 rd cycle I ovulated just before EC.

I had taken DHEA for 10 weeks so I was pretty annoyed that I didn’t get to see did it improve my egg quality -

I was on the Max recommended of 75mg a day.

My testosterone was1.19 in November and in January was 0.65 ( I thought being on DHEA it would go up) my consultant says testosterone fluctuates all the time and not to worry about it.

Im hoping to start my next cycle soon as age and low AMH are not on my side he advised me not to take DHEA but you to myself ( I still have a prescription left from previous cycle) not sure did this help just saw your post.

Best of luck it really is a rollercoaster x

Thank you, you were very helpful. It's good to know (in a selfish but not a mean way) that I'm not the only one that testosterone fluctuates. No one really explained that to me and my acupuncturist was more confused of this than me, so got me stressing :) I hope your next cycle will be the lucky one and your body 'listens' to all the meds xx

No problem. I was confused why mine went down when i was taking 75mg of DHEA a day but he said not to worry it fluctuates. Best of luck to you too xxx
