Post Embryo Transfer

Hi,

I got my embryo transfer yesterday but the embryologist said that it is borderline too. Today i have very bad back pain too. Feels like pain before periods I normally have. I'm really confused. No implantation bleed yet. But back pain is really bad. Is anyone else's symptoms similar to mine? Unfortunately we did not even have any other embryos to be frozen too. I'm really getting worried now.

Hi Saror, many women don't have implantation bleeding so it's not something that indicates it has worked. Are you taking pessaries? How far are you from your period, would you normally have back pain now? So hard not to question every new feeling after transfer, but try keeping positive as it helps. Good luck xx

Thank you for reply Masief! I am taking pessaries BD i mean twice a day but i didn't have any back pain when I started on it on 26th Jan. It started only today after embryo transfer yesterday. I normally have back pain before periods too. Can this one be implantation or I'm PMSing? Its so confusing & scary ☹🙁😓 My periods are not even due yet.. it should be after 8th feb..

Well that's a good sign you have over a week before period comes. Would you get back pain this early before a period? If not, I would relax and enjoy the PUPO period. You've worked hard to get here, now all you can do is send your body positive thoughts and rest. I'm hoping so much for a BFP xxx

That's tough, but it will distract you which is good. Sending so much positive energy for your TWW x

Hi I had a fet on Wednesday and started to get very bad back pain on Saturday and had to take paracetamol. Lessened a bit today but feeling nauseous in waves. I haven’t had any bleeding either and no embryos left. This is my last chance as I am 45 so I understand how you feel.

Hi Godmother99I'm sorry to hear about you going through similar situation as mine. I think after ET, during this 2WW, we all specially try to look out for symptoms. Like mine, i start to have cramping more in the morning then reduces as the day progresses. I think all these symptoms are related to progesterone we take after ET. I don't think any of the symptom relates to positive preg. Test except for implantation bleed which I didn't have yet. Day 4 today after ET. Lets hope for the best.. 👍

This is my first fet. I had a failed fresh cycle back in November and never felt much symptoms. But I did ring the nurse yesterday and she said the back pain is probably the embryo trying to implant and eat little and often and drink more water than I am already. But she said I won’t know if the implantation has worked till my test day on Friday. So just trying to keep calm and relaxed. The back pain is less now but have been waking up with cramps in my tummy ...... so just keeping fingers crossed x
