I am so sorry if you find this upsetting. I am really down and confused at the same time. You may not have answer to this but I just need help and suggestions.
I had my second embrayo transfer 19th of February, and my blood test due date with my clinic was on the 3rd of March (two days) ago which came back negative with 0 Hcg detection. I was told to come off my medication. The news came as a shock because the embrayo was PGTA tested and it was a high quality embrayo according to the embrayologist.
To stop me from going crazy, So I went on my home trademill yesterday for 30 minutes to clear my head a little bit because I wasn't expecting the bad news despite putting in my best and eating healthy as advised. So this morning, I started bleeding. I am blaming myself Maybe, I should have waited before exercise, May be the implantation happened late and hcg has not yet build up?
My first transfer ended up with MMC and it took me time to come off from the trauma and now this?
Is my age failing me or PCOS effects?.
I did thyroid test, and it was normal and my lining was good as confirmed by my clinic before transfer.
What could have gone wrong again?
Please, who has had similar experience, is it possible for blood test to lie? or has negative and turned positive few days later?
This journey is not for the weak, too much emotional trauma.
My fellow women out there, how are you this strong???
I don't know how long I can cope really.
I still have 2 mosaic frozen embrayo, and 5 day 5 untested embrayos.
I am loosing hope with the testing because it seams is not working.
Please, I need suggestions if you have.
Thank you all so much .

Hi, I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. It really is so hard. Please don’t blame yourself, nothing you did caused you to bleed. Blood tests are unfortunately the most accurate way to detect HCG. I had recurrent implantation failure, mostly due to fluid in my uterine cavity (which can be picked up on an ultrasound) but my clinic have also said that blood clotting can also be another factor. So in my last round (which was our 5th round) I was also taking aspirin and blood thinning injections. Your clinic might be able to offer you a blood test to see if this is a potential cause? After taking those in the last round I had implantation for the first time, however it did sadly end in a chemical pregnancy. But we certainly made progress x
I appreciate your time to reply to me and it means a lot to me.The blood test was on day 13, which I believe should have been enough to detect HCG if it had worked, so you are right.
Sadly, most of us pass through hard times to get our little ones.
I will note down the suggestion you gave, and it makes sense because the clinic used medicated natural FET on me, and I was only given Cylogest pessaries 2wice a day, no other medication.
I’m so sorry. I was told PGTA tested euploid embryos have a 60% chance of successful pregnancy. You can do everything right and get a negative result. It helps me personally to keep the mindset that this is a journey and know the percentage chance of someone my age getting pregnant (43), even with ivf, as I know I’m in for multiple rounds. Don’t blame yourself for the exercise. My clinic does not say anything about staying off exercise after the blood test, and13 days should have been enough. You could also ask about upping progesterone and doing an injection not just the cyclogest, as well as the blood thinners as already suggested.
I am grateful to be part of this group because of the emotional support we provide each other. The fertility journey can be quite a rollercoaster, I must say.
I wasn't entirely comfortable with only using Cyclogest, as I felt I needed more progesterone, especially because I have PCOS and a high tendency for low progesterone. However, my consultant convinced me that it would be sufficient.
I wish you all the best, and I truly hope we all succeed on this journey.
hello dear, please do not blame yourself. If your blood test was on 0, it was not a slow positive so you exersiging was not the problem. You still have a lot of embryos to transfer which is great so stick to this! stay strong, love yourself <3
have you had a look into other info like reproductive immunology or recurrent miscarriage stuff- might be worth exploring a bit now that you know the embryo was euploid etc
I have not heard about reproductive immunology before , but I have just googled it now you mentioned it and it is worth exploring really. Thank you so much KT02 x
i am really sorry to hear this. It really is difficult to get your head round when you everything seems to be good quality. I had two failed FET with high quality embryos. My clinic were baffled and suggested the next time to try a double transfer. They also said to check my thyroid which I did and it was normal. Not at any point did they suggest to do a progesterone test prior to transfer despite me saying I was concerned it was low, I don’t think they do it if it’s nhs funded and they too said that the x3 cyclogest that I was on a day would be enough as it’s more than the body produces naturally. I’d done my own research from this group and for the third transfer we ran out of funding and it was paid private with the same clinic and so we asked for the prog test which they did without question and it turned out to be too low, so I needed lubion injection x1 daily as well as the 3 cyclogest. We had our first ever positive test after this go. We didn’t have our embryos tested so it’s hard for us to know whether the issue we’re the embryos or low progesterone but it’s definitely worth testing. Wishing you all the best and look afterself during this difficult time xx
It’s cruel to deny simple blood tests for such crucial matters, how much does a progesterone test costs? 50 euros? How much does it cost another round of FET? It’s really unreasonable, I don’t get it.
Congratulations on your positive Test!!!My clinic has never tested my progesterone levels before, and I'm curious about how they determine the exact dosage that would be appropriate for me. It’s starting to make sense to me now, but it’s really disheartening that we are spending money and not seeing success.
Thank you so much for your input; I am really taking notes. Wishing you all the best. xx
So sorry to hear about your failed FET and how you’re feeling. I’ve gone through many of those feelings so you’re not alone. As someone else said look into reproductive immunology and also search up on Professor Brosens clinic at Coventry Hospital. Those tests have given me some insight that’s been helpful to at least let me know some reasons why I’ve had implantation failure and possible solutions. Best of luck x
