Frozen embryo transfer - TOMORROW!

Hey all,

Driving myself mad with overthinking so needed to write myself out in here! Our FET is scheduled for tomorrow and we’ve got 3 frozen embies.

The lab has thawed day 3 8-cell grade 2 embryo yesterday and hoping to culture it to day 5. Should this not work we’ve got 2 blastocysts in the freezer grading 4BB.

Just reading about and wondering how many others had day 3 embryo cultured to day 5 and whether their embryo improved? I know everyone is different etc but would be interesting to know.

Hi Hannakallas. We used to do many 3 Day transfers back when I first started in the fertility field. as we didn't have the expertise to grow on to Day 5. We still got plenty of successful pregnancies, so fingers crossed yours goes ahead successfully. Diane

Thanks DianeArnold for your response. We’ve also got 2 frozen embryos that made it to blastocyst with grades 4BB and 4BC. In case the day 3 embryo won’t make it they will use one of the blastocysts. As much as I’ve read and understood , the embryos that make it to blastocysts stage are quite good - so surely the odds are in my favour? Many thanks for your time in responding!
