I am doing a natural FET this month, in preparation I started drinking raspberry leaf tea this week, twice a day. I am on cd10 and just noticed pink cm when wiping, this never ever happens! Also I am due my first scan at the clinic tomorrow. I am so confused, I have never had anything like this. No pre-o spotting and nothing like this whilst going through IVF treatment! Is this a common thing with drinking the tea maybe? It's the only thing that I can think of. I am going to try and not worry about it as I so far I have been really relaxed about this transfer, just sods law something like this happens now!
Thanks xxx

Sorry I cannot advise much other than I drink Raspberry tea daily and have for around a year now and I do not think it causes any major changes. Try not to worry Hope your scan goes well tomorrow xx
Thanks RubyVet, just helpful knowing that it doesn't have much impact. Having had so many hormones pumped through my body, and gone through IVF I did question how herbal tea can cause this. Probably just a random coincidence! I messaged my clinic just to make them aware xx
Hi Lapinblanc88, nope not on any drugs which is why it has baffled me. It stopped within half an hour yesterday. Never had that when I was on treatment either. Seems it isn't common at all!
I’m drinking red raspberry tea leaf daily until probably Saturday (as my FET is next Tuesday) and not had any spotting or any other side effect. Best of luck to you 🤞🏻 Xxx
Thanks! Well all looks good on my scan so must have been a random thing. Won't worry too much and will keep drinking it until transfer. Good luck on your fet too xxx
I drunk rasberry leaf tea because I liked the taste last year! I was drinking it for a few weeks. That month my ovulation and consequently my period was delayed by 7 days. I stopped drinking the tea and my next month was normal. I always have regular periods 28-30 days that month was 37. Whilst there is a chance it was some other reason this is the only thing I could account for. I dont drink it now cos I think it defo messed with my hormones for the worse!
Oh wow KLADY123, i have had that too (without the tea) that month I had a mild cold. It was nothing really but it put my o back by a week! It hasn't impacted this cycle negatively so if you feel comfortable you could try it. I've read so many benefits with all the vitamins it has. Whatever it's doing it would be beneficial as it works with your liver. I read loads last night after the spotting and am relieved xxx
Same thing happened to me this month, never happened before, and my natural FET was cancelled (hope that doesn’t happen to you!). I wasn’t drinking any raspberry leaf tea though.
Oh no sorry to hear that Patches86. If you don't mind me asking why have they cancelled? That's very frustrating for you. Hoping all goes well next month xxx
They said that bleeding meant that my lining was decreasing and they couldn’t pin point a reason why I had mid cycle spotting (like you there was just a bit when I wiped). They said it would be their advice not to put an embryo in a “less than perfect” environment and to wait for next month until things settled/went back to normal without any strange spotting, as natural FET need all your hormones to be where they should be etc. It’s super frustrating (this only happened last week) and the thought of waiting another month over and above the forced December wait due to the clinic closing for holidays, is grueling!
What a pain! If you only spotted (which some women do every month) I can't see their logic. My clinic told me not to worry as it could be a sign of o and that they'll have a look at what is happening on scan. What cycle day are you? Is there any way you could ask them for a scan if within the right time frame and go ahead? From my experience today it hasn't made any difference. Keeping my fingers crossed xx
Hi My understanding is that raspberry leaf tea should be taken with caution when TTC or undergoing treatment, the reason being that it is suggested for heavy periods. I am not fully sure but it is best to ask your consultant before taking.
