Yes, morning, lunch and evening

I also take CoQ 3xday for a total of 900-1000 day. Number of pills depends on the pill formulatio

Same as BBHH1 - only warning is if your diagnosis includes an androgen issues (e.g. PCOS) DHEA will make your situation worse not better. Recommend you have the androgen/testosterone panel first (if you haven't already) to ensure you are low or normal low.

COQ10 is good for everyone, M/F, young/old :)

I would increase the CoQ 10. Take 2 morning, 2 lunch and 3 evening.

For DHEA I would do 2 morning, 2 lunch and 3 evening. That will give you 70mg/day and should be enough

It takes at least 6 weeks to work because it targets the primordial eggs that are resting and will be recruited weeks from now

Hi Mikkie, I actually just use 25mg DHEA once a day and that was sufficient to increase my levels. I definitely recommend testing as well so you can monitor progress.

In terms of side effects, I find it gives me acne, or rather makes it worse, as I'm prone to hormone breakouts anyway. Last cycle I used myo inositol as well and this seemed to help balance it out, but this isn't the case for everyone.

Totally agree with using ubiquinol too - that's actually the main thing my consultant recommended besides folate and prenatal.

Hope that helps!

Did you use both Myo inositol and DHEA at the same time? Interesting as they say they contradict each other.

I used Myo for my both ivfs back to back but it reduces the number of follicles although I believe it helped with quality of them so my RE said not to use it for next ivf. But overall I was very happy with it not having a single acne during all that time was superb plus I lost a little bit weight too! And reduced my appetite for sugary things.

I was on 2000, 2 times per day, plus D-Chiro .

I did use both on two of my cycles and didn't use the Myo at all on the other two, nor DHEA for one of those either. For me, the two cycles I did both Myo and DHEA produced the most mature eggs and blastocysts. Truth is though, I've no way of knowing if this was why! I've also stuck with pretty low doses - 25mg of the DHEA once a day and 2g of Myo Inositol powder twice a day. I suspect it was the balance that worked - the aim for me was to increase DHEA levels and keep testosterone down and I think even in those cycles I was on DHEA without Myo some of the time and vice versa, depending on my blood work.

Either way, I found taking the DHEA a few months before a cycle was best and then stopping once injections start, (or earlier if levels are sufficient). The whole supplement thing is almost as much of a mission as the IVF! 😏

That’s great thank you for sharing details. So now I am determined to try both then for my next but my RE not very much fan of DHEA. She gave me growth hormone for our first round of mini ivf in Nov but I had some serious reactions on second dose so we stopped! I added myo to my vitamins myself but told her that I am taking and she was okay until this second cycle she said maybe for next one stop it so we get more follies. I haven’t talk to her yet since last retrieval late December but I was thinking to start DHEA myselfwith 25 per day and wsit at least 6 weeks for another ivf to start.

She is very pushy( my RE) snd keeps mentioning my age and so kinda insist to do ivf back to back but J am tired and wanna rake a break at least for 2 month to try dhea and give some rest to my mind and body.

We’re doing only banking and not transfer. The transfer itself is another big fat frightening story I dont want to go to.

Btw you have so strong and great in doing all if this I know even supplementation is whole extra stress added on top of eveything!

I was even managing my mefications during ivf myself as they are very time sensitive sometimes nurses forgot to tell me when to take what and first cycle I did take Femara at night but then 4 days later when a lead follicle was much bigger than others dr saud you should have taken femara right away when u were in clinic to stop estrogen from rising!

You from all definately understand how frustrated and pissed off I was when heard that. Should I know or nurse know this? They just go by telling everyone to take it at night and not considering if your estrogen already high to take it right away on day 2 instead of day 3 at night!

This is small but big enough to add to all stresses coming with infertility and ivfs and finance burden etc.

Then my doctor tells me your stress is very high maybe better forget about having a kid! Imagine how i am feeling when hear this!

They are disorganized, and I have to pay and hear bullshit on top of all !

Sorty still very upset abt last cycle and all frustrations we had.

I'm really sorry to hear that, it sounds like a rough journey for sure and it's such a hard process anyway. I absolutely think your clinic should be steering you through and supporting and certainly not pushing you to keep going when you need a break. Age is horribly important I know, but I also think so is being mentally and physically ready. My current consultant (who I think is great) told me that a few months would make very little difference age wise, but could make all the difference success wise from just allowing the body to get back to normal and reboot. DHEA also needs time to work, so it's worth giving yourself that break. Fingers crossed for the next one 😊

Thank you so very much dear. Your words very precise and comforting as the same time. I wish you good luck as well in your journey. We all need and could use as much support as needed to be able to function and decide big decisions specially during these processes. Thank you & Take care 🥰

Hi dearI was just about to say the same thing as Notarwen. The 75 mg is the one used in research but it’s not needed for everyone specially if you have already high testosterone or conditions like PCOS. It’s better to use it under supervision otherwise i would start with low dose like 25mg per day and max 50.

The thing is high testosterone will damage the eggs and compromises quality.

Good luck
