Nurse called this morning. Of the 7 eggs, only 5 were mature and 3 fertilized normally.
So now have to pray that all 3 make it to good day 5 blastocysts.
I'm waiting to hear back regarding egg quality.

Hello Artemisan.
I know it is easy to say but remember it just takes one. I have had two retrievals and both times only a couple have made it to day 5 but that is all we need. I have everything crossed for you. Make sure you are resting too! Xx
Hi Artemisan,
To second Judy - I had 10 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, only 3 fertilised. Only one made it to day 5, but was "perfect" - had my viability scan this week. Good luck!!
My friend was in a similar position - she had only two which were both transferred on day 3 and she now has twins toddlers. I totally get your worries but it does only take one xxx
Agree with all other comments! It really does only take one. I only had one fertilise and and am currently 27 weeks pregnant. Good luck 🙂
When you have few embryos is better to transfer on day 3. Would they do that for you?
I agree with u. With us they tried to push it to day 5 and they never got there. Second time we had few embryos and they transferred 2 embryos at day 3 and they both took
I only had 3 eggs one was transferred on day 3 and the other frozen on day 5 and one didn’t make it to day 5. I’m currently 10 wks pregnant with the one they transferred on day 3. Good Luck xx
Hi Atemisan, yes I agree with Judy, only takes the one! I have everything crossed for you and pray that they will make it to day 5. Take it easy and look after yourself. Keep us posted 🙏🏻X
I had exactly the same numbers. They all ended up being above average quality. Two of the best ones were transferred at day 2, and the 3rd was frozen. I’m over 13weeks now. Best of luck, will be thinking of you xxx
Try not to worry. I thought the same. We had 5 eggs, 3 mature, 2 fertilised and made only to day 3. I am now nursing one of my 6month old twin boys. It can work. Getting this far is amazing..keep strong, and belive in the process and that it will work. Good luck xx
Please try your best not to worry as you don't want those feelings in your body when you go for your transfer. I agree, it is pretty scray when you see all of the numbers dropping so quickly. But they just want the very best ones to put back in who'll have the best chance of sticking. Wishing you the best of luck!! X
My daughter had 20 2 Made it. She made the decision to put both in so no reserves would remain. Neither were top grade. She's now 21 weeks and the little fella is doing amazing.
Fingers crossed for you. I will be praying for you as I do for each one of you xx
I was in the same position as you- 7 eggs retrieved 5 mature 3 fertilised 2 made it to day 5. I am now 20 weeks pregnant with 1 baby . I know it’s really disheartening when you don’t get many embryos but it really only takes 1 . I am also 41 so age wasn’t really in my favour so hopefully all 3 make it to day 5 xx
It is true what they say, it only takes one. Our second round we had three and two made it to top quality blastocysts. First transfer was unsuccessful - I was still sore from egg collection at point of transfer and wonder if that had an impact. Our FET was successful and now have a beautiful little boy who is almost a month old. My best piece of advice is try not to worry to much, there is so little we can control. Just try to have hope, miracles do happen 😊
At my first round, I felt disheartened at 7 eggs but, 3 made it to day 5 blastocyst and one of those is now my beautiful 2year old boy!!!It only takes one!!! All the best to you x
Well done your ovaries! 3 fertilised out of 5 is a very good outcome! Stay positive & best of luck for the next stage. Keeping everything crossed they all make it to day 5! Xx
Trying to do some meditation or something to get my mind in a positive mood. Thanks a lot!
