1st scan to check lining

Day 12 of Buserelin injections.

Went to hospital for scan to check on my lining, unfortunately not thin enough so I’m not ready to start next stage.

I have another scan booked for 5 days time. I will continue with Buserelin till then.

Bit disappointed but it’s out of our control. Just hope it’s ok at next appointment .

I am on buserelin for 3 weeks before they are scanning me. Apparently it takes 1-3 weeks to take effect so I wouldn’t worry, fingers crossed for your scan in 5 days x

Thanks Ariel, I did think my scan was earlier than everyone else I was reading. I’ll update again on Wednesday 🤞

I started injecting on the 4th and scan booked for the 25th x

Hey! Sorry to hear your lining wasnt thin enough yet. I have my scan tuesday (12th jan) after starting buserelin on 27th dec. Im panicing mine wont be thin enough! Are you on the long protocol? Xx

I had to take Buserelin for over two weeks before I could progress to stims. Try not to worry; just focus on looking after yourself and taking it easy. You will get there xxx

I had my baseline scan yesterday which was day 17 of taking Buserelin. My lining was thin enough at 2mm and my follicles were looking good. It does sound like they were a little early to scan you so fingers crossed at your next appointment you will be ready! 🙂 I'm starting on Menopur today! 🤞🏻 x

I’ve stopped bleeding so I just wondered how can it get any thinner if I don’t bleed anymore?!

That’s great news yours went well , delighted for you. My next scan will be day 17 so maybe it will be the same .

Good luck with Menopur . Are you taking that along with the Buserelin? X

I don't know I'm afraid! I am learning all the time with this stuff too. My period seemed to be shorter and lighter than usual so I was worried before the scan that I wouldn't be ready, but apparently it was all ok. Hopefully yours will be too 😊

Thank you! Yes, I have to take the Menopur and the Buserelin at the same time, and we've got 3 scans booked in before egg collection, if we're lucky enough to get that far. We've both also had to start self-isolating from today for 2 weeks until our egg collection. My husband's work weren't very happy about that! 😄
