Endo scratch

Hello everyone! Hope you all got through Christmas and new year ok. Tomorrow I’m having an endo scratch for the first time to prep for my fourth (f sake!) embryo transfer next month. I’m having sedation because I’m a wimp. I’m aware the evidence and opinion about its effectiveness is mixed but I had to take a break between transfers for blood results anyway so thought might as well give it a go!

I was wondering if anyone who’s previously had the scratch was given antibiotics afterwards as a precaution??? I have read somewhere you should but my clinic haven’t mentioned it (they are really anti any extras or investigations in general) and I’m a little anxious after my major infection with OHSS. Do you think I need some? Thanks!!!! X

It’s been a while but I’m pretty certain I was give preventative antibiotics after my scratch. Talk to them about it. If it’s not in their protocol to give the antibiotics maybe you can request them

I wasn’t given antibiotics for my scratch. Only for the hycosy. Good luck. Great to be having it under sedation. X
