So I had my consultation yesterday and was offered the Endo Scratch? They are doing a free trial at my clinic and say there is proof it can significantly increase chances of successful pregnancy. My questions is, has anyone had this done and what are your opinions on it?
Thank you xx

Hey I had one done during my 2nd fresh cycle. I had heard so many good things about it that I paid for it privately whilst getting my nhs treatment.
Unfortunately it didn’t work for me but I think that’s because of my embryo quality at the time.
I found it ok getting done. It was by no means sore. I wouldn’t pay to have it done again without it being recommended but that’s only because I managed to get implantation the 3rd time without one. If it was recommended to me I would do it again.
I’ve had 2 and would do it again. It’s one of the few add ons that has good write ups. Mine costs £150 so I say go for it for free!
Only thing I would say is be prepared some girls fine it fine like a smear uncomfortable, others more painful. I found it not nice at all with strong period pain while having it but it lasts only a couple of minutes and I would have it again. X
I have mixed opinions about the endo scratch as I hear so many good stories about it but for me personally I’ve had 4 cycles and the 2x I’ve paid for the scratch they’ve been unsuccessful.
If it’s free and this is your first time trying it I’d probably give it a go though, it’s a little uncomfortable like a smear but is over quite quickly xx
I’ve had two. One hurt, one not so much. Of two scratches I’ve had two bfps. The round I didn’t, my first round, was a bfn. It’s probably a coincidence but having a scratch is worth a try xx
I’m about to start my 4th round and my clinic recommended I had it, so it was done on Friday under sedation so I didn’t have to experience it as it were, and I’ve felt nothing since. If it’s free then I’d go for it! Xx
Had one done at the start of my current cycle. I just had some strong painkillers from the clinic before the procedure and didn’t need anything after. My consultant did treat us to a full history of how it was discovered when approving it 😂. His view was that it seems to help implantation, if this is an issue for you, and it doesn’t seem to do any harm. He’s captain conservative so, if he’s okay with it, I’m working on the basis it cannot so my chances any harm. Best of luck with whatever you decide! xx
I have paid for this 3 times though 1st one was pointless as I didnt have any embryos to transfer. My other two go's it was probably poor quality embryos as to why I never achieved pregnancy. I would snap this up, more and more clinics are doing research and the findings are looking promising!xx
I had it done the cycle before I started my treatment this time and we got BFP. It was over in seconds and if we ever have treatment again in the future I would pay for it so I would defo go for it if it's free. They usually only offer after 3 failed cycles so this is great news if they plan to introduce it from the off. x
I had this for my 3rd cycle, and found it little more than a small discomfort after taking 2 pre-emptive paracetamol. I was recommended it after 2 cycles with implantation issues. The science behind it makes logical sense to me, and the stats on it helping definitely make it worth it to me. Unfortunately I didn't have any fertilised embryos so it was wasted this time, but I would definitely have it again.
My wife had it done on a FET and we too wer told that it can increase chance. With us it certainly did. Our daughter is 10 days old (see previous posts), I would certainly think about doing it.
