Endo scratch dates...

Hi everyone,

I am looking at dates for my frozen transfer and my endometrial scratch.

My clinic said it is done on the cycle previous to IVF, so for my fresh cycle I had it day 21 cycle before.

Has anyone got this on any other day? I am looking at dates and am potentially not going to have see the consultant after day 21, so could get the scratch around day 29....maybe that is too late....

Any ideas?

Hiya, I had a scratch for my fresh cycle in April (ending in a freeze all), and they said it could be done between day 18-26, but I think I had it on day 27... and they were fine with it.

Best of luck!!! X

My cycles do tend to be about 33/35 days so not sure if that factored into it at all!! Xx

Hi EB2001. They usually aim to do the scratch on Day 21 of your cycle. However, not to panic if your cycle is irregular or some delay happens, as your specialist can always worked round it. Good luck and hope all goes well for you. Diane

My clinic only do scratches on a Thursday so I had mine on about day 24 and I had a 27 day cycle that month. Depending on how regular and long your cycle is, day 29 feels like you could be at risk of leaving it a bit late and AF arriving before you get chance to have it done?

Yes agreed.....

Why don’t you want to get it done before you see your consultant? Could you get it done on day 21 then see your consultant after?

I am not 100% sure when my frozen cycle will be. If he will start me on my next cycle or want to wait.

I am also away on holiday on day 21. I know it seems trivial like I shouldn't go away but my life has been on hold completely for 1 year and I needed to plan.

I am keen to get an update to see if the 1st cycle uncovered anything 'wrong' we are unexplained....

Ah, that makes sense. Definitely agree you should go away on holiday. Relaxing will make you in a much better mental state for your cycle. I was told as long as the scratch was in the back end of my cycle it would be fine, so any day after day 21 should be fine for a scratch x

Aww thanks - let's see what the consultant says.

So hard to plan when I am not sure when my period will even arrive.

Thanks for responding.
