Hi there

I was wondering if anyone had thought about treatment abroad.

Is there any difference in success rate?

After 2 failed rounds just trying to figure out our next options

There’s some really good Facebook pages, we can’t really talk about clinics on here. We are looking in to it at the moment. If u have FB just type in ivf abroad xx

I am also checking abroad and got in touch with few clinics. I really like one but can’t find many info about it. 🙄

I’ve thought about it but with travel restrictions I’m not sure if it’s a possibility.

I thought about it too. I am thinking to do all the stims there instead of starting the treatment here and flying to have the ER. Paying for the scans and blood test here and also buying the flight last minute will be more expensive than renting a flat for the required weeks , considering the flights are available .🤔

There is a brilliant website called eggdonationfriends.com which has a massive list of great clinics not just for donor eggs but IVF in general. Shows you some info regarding prices, technologies available and has an easy form you can use to contact the clinics. For me personally if I needed another round I would go abroad....whilst it is awkward to get to I am very impressed with the technology and success rates in many of the clinics in northern Cyprus area. Also practically half the cost of the UK. X

Those websites have success rates in USA:

cdc.gov/art/artdata/index.html

sart.org/patients/a-patient...

You can message me if you more specific info on US.

After two failed own egg rounds in the UK, we had donor eggs treatment in Czech Republic. We decided to go there because it was faster and cheaper than doing it here. We also got a better deal - all the eggs from our donor and guaranteed 2x high quality blastocysts.

I went abroad after 1 failed fresh transfer and 1 failed frozen transfer. Just felt like wanted to try something different. The clinic was recommended by a friend of a friend. I couldn't find any info on the clinic apart from its web page and I spoke to one of the doctors a couple of times and then just went for it. Cons was it was in Greece where we didn't speak the language, in the supermarket couldn't understand anything. At the clinic not all the nurses could speak more than very basic english it was a bit hard sometimes with the language barrier but The doctor I spoke to beforehand was British and the head nurse also spoke good english so most of the time I went to them with queries. My sister said I seemed more relaxed when I had treatment there although it didn't feel like that. I took time of work to do the whole process there so that helped

It worked I froze my embryos and came back the next mth to have them transferred to give a chance for my lining to be in a better state and I have a healthy 2yr old boy. I am however now 30wks pregnant after 2 fresh transfers at Lister so I don't know whether going abroad increases your chances or that month I happened to release a good egg.

Its a tough decision to make but go with your gut feeling.

I guess it's less stress and also you can treat it like a holiday .
