Just wondered what your experiences of timings and dates were. For example, I’m meant to be calling with a Day 1 between 2/2 and 26/2, but I’m a bit worried that unless AF turns up in the next day or two, I won’t fall in this window for our FET.
Are clinics usually flexible? Is it better to call sooner than later?
I’m already massively struggling with anxiety and now waiting for AF (who I have none of the usual signs for) after my retrieval early November is tipping me over the edge. Is there anything the clinic/GP can give me to get my cycle back?
Can I just go on the pill now?
My anxiety is a real barrier to me calling the clinic - I actually don’t know what to do with myself.
Thanks for reading.

Try not to worry. I find that often makes my period late.
Clinics are super flexible. No one can ever know exactly how their body will react in any medicated or natural cycle. It’s also common for the same person to respond differently to the same protocol. In my experience Clinics are forever juggling dates for us all.
There are a few ways to bring on a period. The pill is one route but from what I remember you need to be on it for at least 14+ days before you stop to try and trigger a bleed in the week that follows. There is also a drug you can take (Norethindrone I think) that you can take for around a week to 10 days and then you wait up to a week after for period.
If your dates are in Feb, it sounds like you still have time. Good luck!
Hi Phoebe,Please don’t worry - my periods were a bit strange after the OHSS but nobody batted an eyelid. We just got on with it when it did arrive. I did ask at one point about them giving me something but they prefer a natural bleed and explained that it’s your body signifying it is back to normal and ready for more. You need to do a transfer when the time is right and as frustrating as it is, you can’t force that. Try not to think about it too much or it might even stop it from coming. Another piece of advice, try not to focus too much on getting to the transfer, I did this as it was such a nightmare getting to that point with lots of disappointments along the way. I was an absolute mess during the 2WW because I’d never thought past transfer day and then when it didn’t work, i felt like I had lost everything in the world as it’s all I had thought about and worked towards for months. I hope you’re starting to feel an bit better xx
Thanks for your advice - just feels as though AFs not even close. So frustrating, I just want to know where I’m at. Just feel very rubbish about it all.x
