Hi there, I have PCOS and I had my daughter through IVF but before that I had a much simpler treatment with clomid which helped me ovulate. Unfortunately it didn’t end up in pregnancy but it could’ve. My sister also have PCOS and has three kids. First with clomid, second with injections and third naturally!!! I was always told that even though it might be harder than usual, I would get pregnant. Good luck and don’t loose hope!! Xx
No, absolutely not! With a strict Low GI diet and workout program you’ll most probably be able to keep your insulin levels under control. Or your doctor will put you on Metmorfin/Glucophage XR. There are so many options... All the best🌸
I have severe PCOS (diagnosed at 17) - 29 now, I have been on contraception for 10-11 years and when I stopped back in January my periods never returned (or ovulation). We started fertility investigations and treatments. First thing they suggested was clomid 50mg - I am now 7 weeks pregnant from the very first cycle. Literally a miracle pill for me and also had 0 side effects from it. The options they offered me were 6 months of clomid, followed by 6 months of letrozole if unsuccessful and then IVF.
I did try metformin too but that was a huge mistake - terrible side effects and also apparently completely wrong treatment unless you are overweight or have Diabetes.
Good luck you will certainly be able to conceive but you will probably need a little help!
