Bleeding and cramps early pregnancy

Hi Everyone,

I recently found out I am pregnant, I’m 19. I’m not sure how far I am between 4-8 weeks.

The last couple of days I’ve had blood when I wipe I’ll put a pic in comments of yesterday’s, today’s is more red (don’t have a pic) I’m soo worried I’ve got bad cramps like period cramps. Is this normal or have a miscarried

Thank you. I’m feeling really upset right now and sore and I don’t no what to do. I’m getting a scan in the morning but I’m worried my baby already has died blood is so much darker just now and pains are worse

I bled and everything was fine, sometimes you can bleed during pregnancy, bleeding doesn’t always mean the worst, you also can cramp a lot during the start of pregnancy because of your uterus expanding, just take it easy tonight, stay calm, don’t take ibuprofen but if you’re in pain take paracetamol, keeping everything crossed for you that everything goes well tomorrow xx

That looks normal to me, perhaps ring you GP tomorrow just for the reassurance!

I bled when I was 5 weeks pregnant and it was like a full on period for 4-5 days. I am 11 weeks tomorrow and had 2 scans where baby has been fine so far. I have my 12 week next week and I’m scared again. They couldn’t find a reason for the bleeding - some people do just bleed in early pregnancy. Put your feet up tonight and relax as much as you can. Hi Chelseafzz. This could just be down to your placenta developing. You don't have one yet, just a chorionic villi. Don't know for sure, but as you say the blood is getting darker, that could be a good sign that it is slowly stopping. Rest when you can, but if really worried you could perhaps attend an early pregnancy unit who will check you out.
