Period like cramps early pregnancy

I’m exactly 5 weeks pregnant today. I’ve been getting period type cramps on and off since yesterday, more so over the past 2 hours.

Not severe, but very much like my period wants to come.

No bleeding. In the centre, not on one particular side.

Is this normal?

Hope everyone is doing ok xxx

Hi 👋

Congratulations.

Try not to worry to much this is perfectly normal. I am 9 weeks and I’ve had pains like my period is coming and I had another scan and baby was fine 😃

Keep an eye on it but I doubt it’s much to worry about. 😃

Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy. ❤️ xxxx

Very normal! I had these and I remember thinking it feels just like my period is about to come. I know it’s impossible but try not to worry 😘❤️ xxx

No problem!

I had a very small amount of brown spotting around 5.5-6 week mark as well so I think it’s just the little one getting comfy in there. Totally freaked out but just wanted to give you a heads up in case you get that ❤️ xx

I echo all that has been said!

I had period like cramps, almost as if my period was going to start at any moment.

They gradually eased off around 7-8 weeks but I would still feel the odd twinge and cramp.

My midwife said all was fine 😘😁

Yes completely normal!!! Wishing you all the best xx

So I'm 1 day a head of you - 5 weeks yesterday :)

I've been having cramps and I had some brown spotting at the beginning of the week. I went in to get my bloods checked and levels looked fine. The spotting has stopped and the cramps seem to be easing off.

It's impossible not to worry, but much better knowing it's totally normal.

Baby Buddies!

Congratulations is such great news!

xx
