Has anyone travelled to the uk from abroad for any kind of treatment? Curious what your clinic is requesting of you.
The Uk gov has a provision for people traveling for medical reasons which states they can leave quarantine for The treatment but remains in quarantine the rest of the time.
My clinic is disregarding this and making me quarantine for 2 weeks before I can go in for a follicle scan. I’m really anxious since that means traveling before my cycle starts. They haven’t been clear about what would happen if my cycle starts a day or 2 earlier and if that means the scan is within the 14 day quaratine time frame

Some countries required a PCR Covid test done within max 72 hours before stepping foot in the country abroad, which is not so easy to organise and quite expensive because they have such a short turnaround for results.
Depending on which country you’re coming from, then you’ll need to do 14 days of quarantine.
I dont know abt treatment specific guidlines but my clinic did use to ask if i traveled abroad in last 2 weeks.
Is there anywere u can stay (with family or friends?) Just to make it as less stressful as possible perhaps travel one week before period? If i remember correctly my first fet scan was on day 5? So by then you would have spent 14 days in uk? Xx
You are allowed out of quarantine for medical treatment but its a hugely grey area when the medical treatment is both private and elective. The clause I think was designed for long term condition management/life extending/life saving treatments. I’d imagine your clinic probably don’t want to be on the wrong side of a fine.
If you’re having a medicated FET cycle having a scan a couple days later I don’t believe will have any impact at all. When I have medicated FETs they don’t scan me until having been on meds for a couple weeks to see how the lining is doing.
I don’t know about natural FET, but I’d imagine a couple days won’t make any odds.
