IVF in Europe, but start the treatment in the UK and travel for the egg collection and transfer

Hi, I have been looking at travelling into Europe for IVF but I am concerned about the amount of time I would have to stay away for, I have been quoted up to three weeks with some clinics. I thought I had seen somewhere that some clinics allow you to start treatment in the UK, have monitoring scans here and then travel to a clinic abroad for the egg collection and if lucky enough the transfer. Has anybody had experience of this and what clinic did you use. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

In my clinic you only have to fly the day before the egg collection, and you can have 2 ultrasound in the uk before you fly (usually day 7 and 10)

This mean that if things go to plan you can stay there for only 6 days in total 😊

Let me know if you need more info and I can pm you with more details

Hi, thank you for your reply, please can you send me the details of the clinic you used, I would really appreciate it. I am finding it difficult to know where to start and due to other commitments being away for over two weeks at the moment would be difficult.

It's great to read this. You have no idea how important it is to do your background research. You don't want to make a mistake in such a method. I can help you find a good clinic. I had a decent experience with mine. Let me know if you need any help! Sending baby dust for you.

This is a fantastic decision. A lot of clinics in Europe are far cheaper. They provide good services as well. Let me know if you need help finding a clinic. I can hook you up with the one where I went. Their initial consultation was free, and it is very helpful! They can answer all your questions.

Hi, I am grateful for any advice. Which clinic did you use? and what made you choose them, I have found that there are so many to choose from.

It was in Eastern Europe. Ah, I don't think I'm allowed to say the name of the clinic. PM me if you need more details. I chose them because a friend got her IVF done with them. She managed to conceive on her first attempt, as well. I had a good experience, too. Yeah, there are many clinics, but you have to be careful in your choice. Do your research before you opt for them!
