Oestrogen levels plateaued during stimming

Hi all, Has anyone had the experience of their oestrogen levels plateauing whilst stimming?

I’m on day 13 today, of my 3rd cycle, and was supposed to be triggered tonight but after my bloods they discovered my oestrogen levels had plateaued so I’ve been put on a higher dose of meds for two more days.

On Friday I also had loads of follicles that stopped growing over the weekend. Wonder if it’s due to the oestrogen levels..

I used dr google and it said it could be a sign of poor follicle growth and bad egg quality.. really worried it’s a bad sign for egg collection 🤦🏻‍♀️

As I understand it, the follicles are producing the oestrogen, so if they've stopped growing that'll be why the levels have flattened out. Hoping the higher dose of meds gets them restarted for you xx

Unfortunately not, my estrogen dropped due to some sort of infection I caught that time 😔 the doctor advised to cancel the treatment, she said that the egg quality will not be good, I would have gone through the whole ordeal of retrieval, pay thousands and none of the eggs would be good... I went with her advice.

Do you know the reason why this is happening to you? Hopefully it can all still go ahead 🙏

Oh gosh, that’s so awful ☹️ I’m sorry!

Sounds like it was the best advice to cancel tho and you had an honest doctor.

Yesterday they weren’t sure why my levels have dropped. Just that they’d put me on a higher dose for two more days and see if they grow again 🤷🏻‍♀️

Knowing what you’ve told me, tomorrow when I go for a scan I will ask the question again and ask if collection is worth it.

Thank you so much for telling me your story, it helps to be informed of potential options x

Yes, it was awful, I had 25 eggs growing that time :( it was heart breaking but at the same time I was glad my doctor was honest and didn’t just go with the flow to see what happens...

I think you have a good plan, ask questions and tell them to be honest with you x let me know how it went xx I wish you best of luck x
