Had 1st scan today and EC booked for Friday!

Hi everyone.

I had my 1st scan today. I have 8 follicles - 5 are better sizes - 10,11,12, 16 and 16. And 3 smaller ones - 6,7 8.

Extended my Buserelin and Menopur by 1 day extra to see if the 10, 11 and 12 ones catch up more.

And I'm booked in for Egg Collection on Friday, eek!

I think these numbers are good??! The nurse said I have responded well for my age and AMH (I'm 41 and AMH is 12)

Just feeling soooo tired as hardly slept a wink last night so need it all to sink in....

Fab news I had second scan today follicles responding well all between 16 - 24 mm and have about 12 follicles looking good, I have my collection in Wednesday and have to do my trigger shit at midnight tonight.Good luck to you for Friday X X

Thank you. 💕 The actual procedure was much better than I expected and the clinic nurses and doctors were really lovely! We got 6 eggs so now waiting to hear how the get on. Keeping everything crossed ✨✨✨✨✨✨ xxx

Hi! Thank you 😊 I had 15 eggs collected and 11 injected with sperm. The embryologist called yesterday to say that I had 10 embryos! Just have to wait until Wednesday to see how many have made it, and fingers crossed for transfer on the same day! How are you? Xx

I'm ok thanks - in the dreaded two week wait with 2 embryos onboard from day 3. Driving myself mad thinking about symptoms but will try not to test until Sat which is my OTD! Xx

So I have 10 out of 11 that are in the embryoscope. They said the 11th egg didn't show enough signs of dividing so not viable.

What was your transfer like? I feel super anxious about it, probably a bit more so than collection xx

That's a great number! Please don't worry at all about transfer.... I had already had a mock transfer so I knew what to expect and it's far less scary than egg collection. It's abit like a smear test - but not as bad I'd say and it's all over so quickly...

I was relaxed about transfer whereas I was SO nervous about egg collection. You will be absolutely fine! Take some headphones as if your clinic is like mine there can be a bit of a wait and I wish I would have had some music to listen to! Good luck 🍀🍀 Xx

Thank you! I think it's the full bladder bit that worries me! 🙈 Can't help but think that will make it uncomfortable!! 🤣

Thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to take mine with me. I don't think I felt nervous for collection until I actually lied down on the bed with my legs strapped on to the stirrups and then before I knew it I was back in the other room recovering eating cheese and crackers!!

Dong worry - it's not that bad. I had a full bladder when I got there but as there was a bit of a wait I went to the loo to let 5 seconds worth out!! (It was actually 9 but didn't tell the nurse that! Honestly before you know it you will be back home. Hope all goes well xxx

That's good to hear 👏 - welcome to the two week wait! Take it easy over the next few days. I found the first week is easier than the second so try and distract yourself lots!!

I'm ok thanks - my OTD if I last that long is this Saturday - eek! Just praying for a little miracle. Baby dust to both of us ✨✨ xx
