I have been reading posts but too nervous to write one, but, am slowly but surely getting over myself!!
So, I had my embryo transfer on Feb 24... and, have tested positive!!! My little heart/brain/mind is going nuts, so I have booked a 6 week ultrasound... but, after reading a couple things here, I'm a bit anxious about not hearing anything. Added to all this, I have no morning sickness... I have been told that not everyone gets MS, or it could still be coming... but, well, I guess I'm just looking for reassurance really (anyone else in the same boat/advice to offer?)

UPDATE AFTER 6WK SCAN:
Just a quick update... had a scan yesterday... and, TWO healthy little aliens with visible heartbeats!!!! Have another scan in a couple weeks, so, haha, I'll now shift my worries to that one (just kidding, I'm trying to be chilled about it, but am realising that this is life now... permanently concerned for my wee ones... )
Do you clinic not offer you a viability scan around 7 weeks?
Itโs completely a personal decision but the babyโs heart normally starts beating somewhere in week 6 so you do run the risk of not hearing anything if you go at 6 weeks. If you can hold off another 7 days, 7 weeks you will definitely get to see it!
Awesome - thank you! Not sure if I can hold out for another 7 days!!! But, will chat to my husband as maybe it's better... but, think I'll explode before then!! (And thanks the morning sickness info... its so weird, and I know I'll regret saying this, but I'm looking forward to it!!)
I would just ask yourself, what would make you worry more, waiting an extra 7 days or potentially not getting the reassurance of a heartbeat? Itโs a hard one I know, the wait is a killer but for me, it would have caused me more anxiety to go early. You just have to decide whatโs right for you!
Totally understand wanting the morning sickness, I was the same but man, itโs awful! ๐ xx
Hello, its good that you have booked a 6 week ultrasound to help put your mind at ease. The tww is a killer, but for those who do test positive the few weeks after can be so much more difficult and everything scares you. I didnโt have my first ultrasound until I was 7 weeks, it was transvaginal and at this point it was easy to locate a heartbeat. Will your US be transvaginal?
Do you have any symptoms at all? The only ones I had were my sore boobs when I pushed down on them (I spent the whole first trimester pushing down on my boobs), also I had slight backache and period like pains. I had morning sickness only twice at week 11.
I have no idea re the scan to be honest, although from everything I've read I imagine so!
No symptoms really, other than the exact same situation as you with the whole boob thing and slight "period pains"... thanks so much for replying here, I feel better already!!
If theres one thing I've learned in my pregnancy is to not try read into everything that does/doesn't happen to you. I had very few symptoms to begin with, no classic sore boobs no nausea, nada. I'm now 37 weeks pregnant ๐ถNausea kicked in at around 8 weeks lol so be careful what you wish for. We are all different and so what one might experience, others may not. The early days are an anxious time but try not to worry xx
I did wonder lol ๐ค you might not get it, not everyone does. I had bad ligament pain I do remember that!! Whatever ailments you may get along the way, it will all be worth it xx
I had a scan at 7 weeks and then 9 weeks because I didnโt believe I was pregnant due to no symptoms at all! Iโm 21 weeks now and I had no symptoms throughout apart from I napped during the day a few times. Not even sore boobs! Crazy! I feel extra lucky now, but was defo full of self doubt until I could feel him at 16 weeks. Xx
