I have been taking pregna care pre conception multivitamins for some time now, i wanted to ask after embroyo transfer can i continue taking these or do i need to take folic acid and vitamin d on top of those supplements despite pregna care having vitamin d and folic acid in them?
If anyone could please advise that would be great, my clinic advised to continue with pregna careafter embroyo transfer.
Thanks in advance!

I have never been told to take anything additional over and above Pregnacare. It has the recommended amount of what you need.
I generally take pregnacare conception up to egg collection and then pregnacare original post collection as they are slightly different in their ingredients
Have you had your vitamin D tested? My clinic did mine as part of my pre-assessment testing. I was on 2,800iU a day (2,000iU supplement plus Pregnacare) and my vitamin D was only just normal so have upped it to 4,800 right now due to time of year (I was outside in the sun over the summer but not now!). Pregnacare has 800IU in it so for many people in the UK that won't be enough as we don't get enough sun. TBH in cold/flu season folks should be on 2,000IU per day anyway even if they aren't trying to conceive as it's essential for immune system functioning and helps reduce some of the effects of SAD (and especially this year it's even more important as new studies show it may help to ameliorate coronavirus effects). Pregnacare has the right amount of folic acid in it, although if you have a mutation in the folic acid receptor that reduces your ability to absorb it then you would need to take an active form to absorb. Most people don't need this but I'm a belt n braces gal so I take the 5-Methyltetrahydrofolate form just in case. xx
