Injections start today

This is my first round of IVF and it's finally here after years of waiting, I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. Anyone else starting over the next few days? Would be good to keep in touch with progress of other people at the same time, hoping for egg collections around the first week of December X

Hey- I started my first injection last night and all going to plan EC should be around 2nd Dec. I do have very low AMH/AFC so i am not expecting many eggs however I am really hopeful for at least 1 to transfer. The dream would be an additional to freeze. I am on quite a high dose of Gonal F and will be adding in Monpur and Fyremadel from day 6. Would be great to share our journeys. How are you feeling so far? x

Not great news from me unfortunately. My first progress scan only showed 3 follicles responding to the meds and growing. I have another scan on Friday and if they are on track the collection may be on Monday. Praying I make it to that point!How are you getting on? x

It's not over till it's over, you still have every chance, stay positive, wishing you lots of luck for Friday, let me know how you get on X xAll good here, injections aren't as bad as you think they will be, although I don't really like Injecting twice but it's ok, first scan on Friday X x x

Thanks for your support! You are right, there is still hope :-)Glad you are finding the injections OK. I found my one injection of gonal-f very easy but since Monday i have 3 injections and the other two hurt a lot more. Still bearable though.

Hiya, took me a little while to get used to doing the injections, but it is nowhere near as bad as you think it's gonna be! I've had quite a few headaches and since I've been on the Ovaleap for stimulation I've had some lower abdominal pain but that's mainly due to my endometriosis, but overall not too bad. Hope it's all straightforward for you and thanks for you good luck wishes 😃 x

Yep was all good, 10 mature eggs collected, 9 of which fertilised so just waiting to see how many get to day 5 🤞 how are you getting on with the injections? xx

My husband is being an amazing nurse and doing them for me as I'm such a scaredy cat! Have been applying an ice pack first and they're fine. Buserlin has made me tired and have headaches but hoping that will get better tomorrow when I start Menopur 🤞xx

Mine had no choice! I said if we have to do IVF, you have to inject me! 🤣 It's fine, over and done with in minutes. Xx

Hey. All going ok I think. Started my 2nd injection - Menopur on Saturday - I can feel that injection more for some reason but headaches now aren't as severe thank goodness. How are you getting on? My scan is on Monday so I hope it's working it's magic 🤞 xxx

I started my first IVF cycle on the 12th - and injections have been fine, not as bad at all as I thought. I had one that bruised and that did hurt a little, but I am only being a wuss 😁

After around 5-6 days of injections - I felt a “pressure” feeling in lower abdomen, like I was full of wind or something, but not bloated. But it has settled a little, or maybe I am used to it - not sure 😂 and I have now done both Meriofert and Fyremadel for a few days - and my boobs are getting rather sore, not sure if that is meant to be a side effect, but I get sore boobs around my ovulation normally. Otherwise, I have felt fine! No side effects really 🥰 Had my first scan yesterday and everything looking good so far. Waiting for a call today to find out if EC is Monday or Tuesday - eeek!! 🤞

I wish you lots of luck and will be following hoping for a fantastic outcome for you! Hopefully you will feel fine with your injections 🥰

Yes, I had my EC Monday 🥰 Thank you for asking! It went well - out of my 10 follicles we got 9 eggs. I got a call Tuesday morning from the embryologist to say 8 had fertilised over night - so now we are just waiting, crossing fingers and hoping that they keep developing and that some make it till day 5 🤞🙏 Our clinic aims to do day 5 transfers only we were told. If we get one - embryo transfer will be Saturday 💙🤞🤞🤞
