IVF5 stims start today

Today is the beginning of round 5 (round 3 of 3 natural modified). 7 follicles at CD2 scan.

PLEASE let it be the last round we ever have to go through, that one of our Frosties or one from this round is the one 🤞🏼🍀

Slightly new approach this time, upped the bemfola to 225 and leaving out the tamoxifen as consultant thinks we might get better quality with less LH. Next scan Friday. Here’s to being hopeful!

Hi Orla,

Sorry if I’ve missed a post or two, but can I ask why you’re doing natural modified? Am wondering whether we need to try this for our FETs as we’ve had to cancel a couple of times due to breakthrough bleeding on progynova.

The natural modified is the stimulation part of the cycle, so you only do that when heading for egg collection. We are doing it because of my low amh and are doing 3 collections and freezing embryos xx

Ah ok, thanks. I know there are ‘natural’ options for FET so wondered whether you were doing this to transfer your frosties

Thanks! I think for transfer we will be trying natural, as I ovulate and have regular cycles, but I don’t know what my clinic will prefer to do x

Ok cool. I’ll keep an eye out for updates on your progress!

Our infertility is male factor (as far as we are aware) so in theory we should be able to try a natural cycle but our clinic doesn’t seem to recommend it.

We’ll see what they say on Thursday as it looks like we’ll be cancelling another cycle 🙄 Bye bye more wasted money! x
