Start injections tonight 😳

Hello lovelies

I start my injections this evening for our first round of IVF - anyone else with me? Or have just started or about to start? x

I'm on day 7, ice the area which makes it so much easier, it goes so quick once you start them! Best of luck to you ☘️☘️

Good luck! I am due to start a week today but I feel like AF is going to start really early so don't know if it will be earlier than that! Hope it goes well. xx

I will post when I start definitely. I think it is usual to be apprehensive - I feel pretty scared! I'm thinking though at least when we start we will be doing something rather than waiting for it to start if you know what I mean! Let us know how you get on. xx

I've just had my Egg collection yesterday so did all my injections the past week or so and honestly however bad you'll think its gonna be it won't be, I had the same thoughts about injections too and I also did the ice on the area before hand which helped - good luck for your cycle x

Yep Im on my first cycle and nope egg collection is probably the easiest bit so far you are awake but sedated and I literally can't remember anything about it aside from knowing I was still awake, we have started the intra muscular injections last night which I was worried about but more ice on the area and again felt hardly anything 😊 x

Oh great that's really good to hear! That must be such a weird feeling being awake but not knowing what's going on!!!

Hi MommaBear oh fab only a few days apart then! Yes me too I'm a bit apprehensive I must admit but keen to get it done!

I'm also long protocol and am on burselin injections.

Is this your first cycle

This is my second cycle so I completely understand how you must be feeling right now!! The first one is the worst, I have a few nerves about Saturday, but after that it will become second nature. You won't even flinch! I watched YouTube videos of women injecting themselves to feel more comfortable doing it, this might help if you haven't done this already. Good luck! x x x

Oh ok, yeah I've found it all a bit overwhelming really and will be glad to get started! My husband is going to do the injections for me as I'm really not good with needles! 🙈

Hi my appointment is on 1st March. How long this take till I start with injection? From first period from that appointment?

Excellent!! We started same day! Are you on the long protocol Aswell? Only weird thing I had was a metal kind of taste in my mouth!!!

Can i know what long protocol means?

I heard some women saying that you feel that metal tastes snd nausea as well like a pregnant woman.

Just the different regimes they use for ovarian stimulation.

Yes I definitely had a metal taste but no nausea thank god (not as yet anyway)

Hope your first injection went well. You & your OH will soon get the hang of it and it'll be like second nature in no time. Best not to think about it too much and just do it. It actually becomes quite a nice routine as you know your doing something active towards your goal. I'm on my second round of ivf and started my injections on Wednesday so we're buddies! Xx

I hope so, I'm already clock watching for 7pm for my second one 🙈 Will be glad when it does become second nature - I hate the fear!!
