Day 9 scan advice

Hello,

I have been for my day 9 ultrasound scan today (first round) and was told that my folicles are only measuring at 11mm so they have advised to increase my meds and go back for another scan on Friday which will be day 12.

It’s all new to me so I’m not sure what to expect from here and have felt really upset as the day 7 scan on Sunday showed that the folicles were at 10mm so they haven’t increased much in the last 48 hours which isn’t what I hoped for.

I have PCOS so they said it’s difficult for them to predict my response and that they are concerned about OHSS which is why the medication has started off low. I’m on day 8 of meriofert 150 today so they have said from tonight to increase this to 225 for the next three nights in preparation for Fridays scan.

Has anyone else been in a similar position or can offer any advice?

What is the average cycle day that they do egg collection as Monday will be day 15 so in my head I’m overthinking that this is quite late to have it done if the scan shows improvements?

Hi CD91,

A couple of my follicles were still only 11mm and 12mm on Day 10 but because I had a few larger ones they didn't want to lose, I triggered on the night of Day 10 and had collection Day 12. Amazingly the 11mm and 12mm matured by Day 12 and were able to be collected, fertilised normally and became good quality embryos.

With the extra time and stims, I'm sure you'll get a positive outcome. The specialists know what they're doing!
