I am sure this has been posted about many times but I am 2dp5dt and have period like cramps. They seem to be getting worse rather than better. It’s freaking me out and feeling need to go and check everything is ok very often. Can anyone offer words of wisdom?

Hi TheFoxes, I had cramps from around day 4 to day 9.. I’m currently on day 10 where they seem to have stopped and it’s more of a bloated feeling. I was going mad too, it feels to me like AF is coming but I’ve had no bleeding... I literally were checking every time I go to the toilet whether there was blood on the paper!

what I’ve read is it is very normal to have cramps, it can be from your progesterone supplement too! I’ve also had so many women say that they had cramps throughout it the 2ww and got BFP!

Try not to worry. I’m 10dp2dt and I’ve had them throughout. Praying for my BFP on Wednesday. Sending you lots of baby dust x x x

Ah wow. Have everything crossed for you. Thanks for this- it’s reassuring. I am relieved to hear you felt the same and have reached the 10 days mark. Really really good luck for Wednesday. Xxx

Hi, I had cramps for a few days after the transfer. The second day after was the worst, felt like I was getting an infection. Then they just stopped. One week after the transfer I had period like pains and slight spotting on just one day. Then I had aches all the time on and off. I am 16 days post 3 day fet and got positive result 4 days ago. I still feel aches on and off.

Hi TheFoxes, I remember very well having cramps exactly at 3dp5dt and it was mostly during the night. I am assuming it is a good sign. Im am 6w2d pregnant today.

Best of luck 🍀

Hi TheFoxes, I’m currently 3dp5dt and I’ve been having these niggly cramping pains on and off since 10 hours after the transfer, I’m currently feeling these niggles as I lay down but I’ve not long taken my Utrogestan so maybe that’s also a huge factor although after reading everyone’s comments on here it appears to be a positive response to the treatment,,, 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I look forward to your updates and sending lots of baby dust luck lovely 😊 xx

What day have they given you for OTD and will you be early testing? X

TheFoxes profile image
TheFoxes in reply toBlue1978

OTD is 9 Nov and I reckon I will test next Sunday (8) as whatever the result is i don’t want to hear it first from the clinic. What about you? X

Oh wow that’s not even a 2ww mine is Friday 13th 🤣 I said no I’m not testing on that day lol ,,,,, so they said I could do it on the Thursday but I don’t go into clinic as they give us a home test and we phone up with the results x Going to try not to test early as there’s no point but if I was in your shoes and have to go into clinic for results from them then yes I’d do it the day before xx good luck lovely and look forward to hearing your updates 😊🤞🏻Xx

I did wonder about the date I had been given. I wonder why my date is so early and yours is actually at the 2 week mark?

🤷‍♀️ But Sunday 8th would be my first day of my next period so I get that it’s long enough,,,,,, are you getting like nervous tense feelings too is is this just me, it’s such a weird time sometimes I completely forget about the ivf (not long maybe 30 mins or so ) it’s such a relaxing time but inbetween that I’m very much aware and feel like a pulling dragging feeling in my lower abdominal,,,,, can you relate to this?

Like you say it’s great to talk to someone who’s going through the same as you, I drive my loved ones crazy with my wondering worries 🤣x

Honestly it is unbearable. I am with you 100%. My partner and I just spend all day reading fertility stuff online, talking through the possibilities or watching crap on Netflix just to distract. The ways I usually switch off are yoga, running and baths- all of which my clinic have said not to do! I also don’t really feel like talking to anyone - even my friends who did IVF (of which there are many) all got pregnant on their first round and I just can’t face speaking to anyone. My cycle didn’t go very well and I only have this one shot from the whole cycle . It will actually be a relief to go back to work tomorrow just to have something to do. Are you managing to take your mind off it? Any top tips? X

No top tips lovely I’m as blinded going into this as you tbh. My ET resulted in 2 embryos making blastocyst stage so it’s our one shot too and we popped them both in 😊,,,,,, I feel Ridiculously bloated and uncomfortable but honestly the best thing I do to forget about it is laugh, My OH puts stand up comedy on in the evening it’s a very good distraction as is walking the dog. I’ve postponed going bk to work until Wednesday being my own boss has its advantages although I honestly wish I worked from home these days. I think as the days go on it may get easier and time will go quicker just like when you’re on your holidays 🤞🏻Xx

I am on exactly the same timeline as you! FET of 5d blasts on 10/29!! My beta is on 11/9. I will probably break down and do a home test later this week.

Good luck to you! It is nice to find someone who is on the same path.

Good luck. Everything crossed for you. Nice to be in touch. Am personally finding it difficult to even have a conversation with anyone from real life! It’s nice to chat with people who “get it”. X

Hi I didn't have these post transfer but started getting them shortly after a positive result and they have continued on and off through the first trimester. They can be caused by implantation in the very early stages so try not to worry. I know that's easier said than done! Very best of luck to you. Xx

Hi!! This was exactly what I wanted to ask when I looked on today. My day 5 transfer was 27/10 and my OTD is 5/11. I’ve had mild cramp feelings since the procedure. This is my second FET and didn’t feel like this last time (which didn’t work) so the husband keeps telling me it’s a good thing but it’s so hard!!! You read so much about the pessaries causing cramps etc etc so try not to read in to it all but the 2ww crazies are starting to kick in now!! The closer OTD gets the more compelling to pee on a stick it is. I made the mistake of testing way to early last time and promised myself I wouldn’t again as the whole uncertainty of false results etc is an emotional nightmare compared to the almost ignorant bliss of it might have actually worked so that’s what’s getting me through so far.

And I second your comment about the running and yoga but not allowed 🙈

Hope you’re doing ok and wish you all the luck!!!

Oh wow. Only a few more sleep for you. Really really best of luck. Sending you support and solidarity. X

It’s funny how I don’t massively enjoy talking to people I know about this as I feel I’ll jinx it but there’s a huge amount of comfort in the solidarity with everyone on here.

I can’t express enough how much I hope it works for everyone!! 🤞🏼

Hi I too am reassured by everyone’s replies to your question which I was looking for answers to so “THANK YOU everyone”

I’m now 12 days post 5 day transfer and in the first couple of days I had some light stomach cramps and this last couple of days they seem to have intensified. My last period was 13th October so they’ve said I can do the Pregnancy test tomorrow and have been feeling anxious about cramping today in case I came on, but so far so good so keep your fingers crossed we get a BFP tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone else nearing the end of the dreaded 2WW and let’s hope we have some positive stories to share soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻❤️
