Hi all I am very lucky to have twins from my first round 3 years ago !

Going for a sibling and did my first round in June which failed. I wasn’t prepared for that especially since the embryo was the exact same quality etc as my twins x taken time to pick myself up x

I am now doing different protocol and I am doing down regulating (last FET was natural) ...

Anyone about to start their FET ?? X this forum helps me so much xx

Hello! How exciting for you. I think I know how you feel as I started my first FET for a sibling to my toddler with the same optimism. She was born after my first ever transfer (albeit second fresh cycle), and I had a raft of perfect blastocysts frozen. It was hatching and all when transferred, but it was a BFN. I’m now 5 (!) transfers on and still no luck. It’s great you’re trying a different protocol as that might do the trick. Just wanted to ask: did you have a caesarean with your twins? I just met a physio who suspects my misfortune might have to do with scar tissue and poor blood flow to the uterus due to that. Good luck, hope it’ll go better for you than it did for me!

Ah thanks ... I hadn’t prepared for it to fail as just thought once I got pregnant once that would be it ! I had one natural and one caesarean! So could be that. I am now doing the protocol I did to have my twins with the down regging ! Only thing I am not doing is the scratch ...

Hopefully the same protocol does the trick for you, I’m crossing my fingers!

Yes, we’re lucky that we have another two frozen blastocysts from the same batch as our daughter. We had planned to go again with the onset of my next cycle (this coming week) but now I’ve met that physio, I think I’ll go with her recommendation and let her do the manual loosening of the scar tissue for a month or so, and some exercises for me at home. After what’s already 18 months of trying, one month longer seems negligible despite my advanced age 😉

I feel you... I just turned 41 so time is somewhat ticking despite the clock being stopped on those frozen embryos... I won’t go through fresh cycles anymore as one has to say stop at some point...
