Question about first period post chemical pregnancy

Hi all some advice please

I had a chemical pregnancy early August after a fresh cycle. On stopping the progesterone I bled for about 4/5 day’s(normal period type with one day moderate flow).

I am due to have a FET with next AF, sat am got a small gush of browny discharge/blood that was it, yesterday just one off brown discharge spot.....nothing since- was this my period? I am meant to start my fet meds on day 2 of cycle- is this day 3 today then???

Anyone with similar situation or advice would really appreciate it!

I had a failed fet in April and my period was red blood a month after the BFN.. but this one has had no fresh red :/ - I really don’t want to wait for my next period to start fet... I am a thin liner anyway and I’m wandering if post the miscarriage my body just didn’t make a thick enough lining again?

Sorry to read about your chemical, but pleased to hear you can go ahead so soon again.

They won't let you start your meds with just brown blood. Prior to my current cycle (fresh) I had heavy brown spotting (even used a Tampax a few days it was heavy enough) for 7 days before my bleeding started properly, and they wouldnt start my drugs until I had full on red bleeding, even when I had been bleeding heavily brown.

I would double check with your clinic but I would say wait it out for full flow red blood. You dont want to mess up your cycle... I know after a loss you feel desperate to try again but just concentrate on giving yourself the best chance rather than rushing to get there. Masses of luck xx

Sorry to hear about your CP, Ive been there too and its gutting! I dont have a great linin either but I always get pink/red blood eventually so I dont think you should go with the brown as AF. I made this mistake in the past and I cocked up the whole cycle as it wasnt really day one and my cycle had been knocked out by a previous failed cycle.xx

Hi Hopeful. So sorry to hear of your chemical pregnancy, and I do hope you had plenty of support at the time. My feelings would be to wait until you have a "red" period that is normal for you before starting again, as the brown stuff might be some old blood. Hope all soon settles. Diane

Hi all thank you for taking the time to reply and all your advice. Tbh it was hard to accept the chemical pregnancy - maybe because my first bfp and I was almost there....

I completely agree and so glad I didn’t start my meds yesterday. It has turned red today but still not a constant flow. So fingers crossed tomorrow I get a bit more

It’s hard that we battle between our minds and heart as the ivf waiting game is so cruel and long 🙈 but I appreciate all of your support and advice thank you again ❤️
