Bleeding

I had my first scan yesterday and was bang on target at 6 weeks 4 days and a good heartbeat.

I woke this morning and I was bleeding. I called the clinic and I have a scan on Monday. They said not to worry, I have stopped bleeding now, it lasted a couple of hours. I wasn’t in pain and I still feel pregnant as I still feel as rough as I have the last two weeks.

Has any one else experienced this and all tuned out ok?

Try not to panic this is quite normal in early pregnancy. I bled about 7 weeks and they couldn’t find a cause for the bleeding because all was good and baby was fine. I am now 16 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy.

Just like you I panicked and I had another scan to put my mind at ease.

Definitely go for the scan to clear your head but this is very normal. Plus given the circumstances you seen your baby just recently I’m guessing it is more than likely just a small amount of breakthrough bleeding from your little one getting comfy 😃 xxxx

Hello!

Try not to worry, I had bleeding for 3 days at 6 weeks and then more at about 7 and all so far is okay (I am 9 weeks now) they couldn’t find a reason and said it’s incredibly common. It’s a good sign it’s stopped now

Thanks. I was so upset when it started but I feel a little better now, I’ve come to work to keep busy. I’m so so glad that you are ok.

These early stages are terrifying.

Hi Blu. Oh dear! Unfortunately this can happen, especially when the placenta starts to form around this time. Just have a rest when you can and be reassured that your scan went well. Keep up with any prescribed medication. Thinking of you. Diane
