bleeding again

I thought I was 6 weeks today looking at the ivf due date calculators online. I had a bleed this afternoon and went for a reassurance scan (clinic couldn’t get me in) they put me at 5 weeks and could see the sac and yolk sac (and 2x haematoma - I had this with my youngest daughter which is probably the cause for my bleeding) I called my clinic they agreed with the scanning place and said I should be 5 weeks 2 days same as what they scan place said for ivf but why is the online calculator different? Does anyone know how many weeks I should be for a 5 day FET that was done on 25th on January?

I don't know if this is anything to do with the difference but I had my fresh DE transfer done on the 23rd Jan in Spain - and apparently in Spain they use a different calculator for IVF which is a week different - so while the UK has me at 6+2 Spain has me at 5+2 - it depends on whether they count from transfer (which I think is what they do in Spain) versus egg collection? I think most calculators in the UK count from ovulation/egg collection.

it’s so confusing…both my clinic and the scan place said 5 weeks 2 days but online says 6 weeks. So I had mine two days after you which would put me at 6 weeks which I thought I was due to the online calculators 😦 I don’t know what to think xx

I wouldn't worry too much about it, I've gotten used to being given two different dates. I think once you get to the NHS dating scan they'll get you on the right track, what matters is that baby keep progressing between scans at a normal rate xx

well this calculator would have you at 6 weeks yesterday for ‘5 day embryo transfer’ but if you select ‘donor eggs cycle’ it would have you at 5 weeks 2 days yesterday so there must be a difference between these perhaps? It can also be really hard for them to measure so early on as well so it is an approximate and they could be a few days out on the scan:

I still think I’m just over 6 weeks. Every calculator I’ve looked at says I should be 6w 1day today…I’ve just got to pray that when I have scan at clinic on Thursday I’ve caught up in holding onto the fact the yolk sac was there and hopefully was just too early 🙏 thank you for your message x

This is confusing. I'm 5 days after you (30th Jan) and I thought I was 5 weeks. My first scan is next Thursday which is the 6 week scan and I was told to book it between Tuesday and Thursday.

yeah I’m pretty sure I’m 6w 1day today it says that on all calculators online. I saw the yolk sac so hopefully by my clinic scan next week Thursday there will be a baby and heartbeat 🙏 good luck on Thursday too not long to go now xx

I’m the same as you. Had my transfer on 27th Jan. Had a scan at 5 weeks last weekend. Had another scan today and they said I’m about 5 weeks. I think people just calculate it differently but it is confusing! Best of luck with your pregnancy xx
