Has anyone else had a delayed period when taking Synarel nasal spray at the start of your treatment?

Yes, in my previous FET Synarel delayed my period for about 5 days. This time I took birth control for one month to regulate my cycle and and then start Synarel on day 2 of period. If you read the notice Synarel can be taken on day 21 or day 2. So the second option worked better for me this time

Thank you. That’s reassuring to hear. My new treatment plan was to take it on day 21 so I’ll wait and see. Half the battle is the waiting! I’m normally so regular! 🤣

Hi MrsP19,

I started Synarel on day 21 and it delayed my period by 9 days!!

The clinic said if my period hasn’t arrived by 10-14 days they’d scan and continue as normal.

Yes, I'm on a long protocol now (day 21 start) and my period was delayed by 5 days on Synarel plus I spotted for ages, normally finish by day 3/4 and was still spotting at day 7 when I started Menopur! I'm having some slow growth (they've upped my Menopur now) so waiting to see. Will be interested to hear if you have a similar experience as I'm finding the long protocol soooo long and slow, but hopefully will result in higher numbers of eggs for us! Best of luck to you xx

That’s good to know. Thank you. I was expecting it to be 3 weeks once I start injections but it sounds like it could be longer 😬 I’ll keep you updated! Let me know how it goes too. Best of luck X

@minnesota_girl - my period has arrived 5/6 days late. What is interesting though is that day 1 has been incredibly heavy (it’s usually very light). My first scan is then 3 days after this. That’ll determine when I start injections.
