Bleeding after miscarrage

Hi everyone,

Posted a while back after my positive result following 5th embryo transfer, i then had A miscarriage at 6 weeks, but ive bled for 7 weeks now its not stopped, is this normal?

Have you had a negative pregnancy test?

I bled for about 11 weeks after my MC surgery but I did have retained products and had two surgeries in the end so my body was a bit messed up. If you havent had a negative test then you could have retained tissue x

So so sorry lovely, on top of that unfairness you uave to go theough this too. Like daisy said, there might be still tissue from your lining/sac left. Did you have a follow up scan at your clinic? They can detect if there is buildup in your lining. They can also manage that by medication. X

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. It's such an emotionally draining journey anyhow without the extra hurdles.

During my first miscarriage I only had bled for 6 days or so and then my next period was after about 6 weeks and again it was a couple of days bleed.

I had to do a pregnancy test in between and as it was a negative I didn't have to go in for another scan and I was discharged from the EPU. Have you done another pregnancy test since? Also are you being managed by the EPU, and can you call them and ask whether its normal? They might call you in for another scan or alternatively you can also call your GP and ask him/her to refer you to the EPU.
