So I woke up at 4am this morning with heavy bleeding and pains in my stomach. I called the clinic and they told me to go in for a scan.
They said they can see a sac but it looks like it’s collapsed and nothing within the sac, they can’t confirm a MC as my womb is not empty but said they would expect me to continue to bleed and I should return in a week to confirm a MC.
I really don’t know how am feeling right now and how to react!! Has anyone else been in this situation?

I had a chemical pregnancy last year ( @4.5 weeks) & by the time I was scanned the content was gone 😢so I didn’t need re scanning.
Some of the ladies may have also been this heartbreaking situation & maybe able to shed some light than I can.

So sorry to hear you're going through this.
I had a big bleed around 7 weeks with clots. The scan showed an empty sac with an irregular shape and blood all around it. I was told I would continue to bleed and was booked in for a D&C.
However, my hcg was still rising (what is yours doing?) which made me hesitate. I waited a week and then the scan showed a heartbeat.
I'm now 16+5 weeks.
There is still hope.

Really sorry to read this. I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks, started bleeding then cramps..light for the first few days and then got heavier so had a scan and they said my dates didn’t match up..but they couldn’t confirm a miscarriage. I had to go back in a week where they confirmed the miscarriage..as there had been no growth progression from the week before. It’s an absolutely heartbreaking time but you will get through this xx

Really really sorry to hear this. I haven't been in this exact situation but I miscarried last week. Lost the heartbeat between 7-9 weeks. My sac was actually too big in the second scan but the baby wasn't growing within it. I would say that I'm surprised that they cannot confirm that you will miscarry though / will need a D & C. I would have thought size of sac and baby would be enough of an indicator. However I don't know enough about it so perhaps you need to go back in a week for another scan? Thinking of you. It's truly a terrible time. x

Simular thing happened to me. But one week it was there heart beating next week no heart beat and stopped growing. My clinic took me off meds and then it happened. Only a couple of weeks ago. It is so hard struggling myself to deal with it. We are all here for you. Xxx
