How long should I wait after molar pregnancy for egg retrieval?
I have been on low dose of methotrexate 15mg for 4 months. I find some forums to suggest to wait 180 days. However I did my last egg retrieval on 162 days. There was not enough cells for biopsy so is black box to me, I have one AB embryo and one BB and one BC.. I’m worried that they are impacted and being exposed to toxic chemicals. Does anyone know any academic source?

The nhs says you need to have stopped methotrexate at least 6 months before trying for a baby. The manufacturer advises you need to be off it for at least 6 months also as it can cause embryonic and foetal abnormalities. I would speak to your fertility clinic regarding this. Hope this helps x
Thanks for the time you spent for the reply , my dr advised 3 months but oncologist suggested 6 months initially. I will do another egg retrieval anyway to see what happens. Hopefully I can test next round!
I’d say 6 months too. I took methotrexate for an ectopic but it failed and I ruptured anyway - it’s very dangerous to a new pregnancy as it basically removed all folic acid from the body
Now I feel like I wasted my money! I already did 2 cycles because my dr said eggs are exposed only 90 days! Then my sister said maybe abnormality is because of chemo and then I googled and feel so bad to use those embryos!
