2nd period after egg retrieval

Hi,

Has anyone else experienced an unusually late 2nd period after egg retrieval? I am waiting to start my FET and almost 10 days late with no signs of it appearing. Usually 28 days like clockwork. Getting quite frustrated now!

Yes, this happens to me every time (we’ve just finished our third IVF cycle and I’m also waiting for my period). It normally takes about 2 weeks extra for me, and then it arrives but discuss with your clinic as they can give you drugs to start your period if there’s too much of a delay. Good luck!

Hi there, yes incredibly frustrating but this happens to me every time I’ve had egg retrieval. And this time I’ve even found the second one after is also a long cycle.

Hi ourtimewillcome. It can take a few months for your menstrual cycle to return back to what is normal for you. Usually 2-3 months, so try not to worry. Diane

Thank you everyone. You're all correct and like clockwork 2 weeks late and it has arrived. Phew! So if anyone else is reading this, it was also a 6 week cycle for me instead of 4

Hey currently in the same Situation, once your period started, was you able to start your medications for FET ? or have to wait for periods to normalise ?

I had a withdrawal bleed 2 weeks after collection. Then waited for my next period to start before taking the meds. So I started my FET meds on day 2 of my 2nd period
