Proper period when down regging? HELP

Hi Ladies - are you meant to get a proper bleed when on buserelin? I am meant to start oestrogen for my FET when i start my period and i (sorry tmi) i have just had brown discharge but no real bleed for 2 days. Should i wait to start the new drugs. Period should have started properly yesterday and now i dont know what to do!

One for the clinic I think 🤔 mine always scan you first to check your lining is thin enough before you start the next lot of meds. One time I didn’t have a very heavy flow though and lining was still thin enough xx

I had a proper period yes, went in for scan on day 2 of my period to check the down regging worked and check the lining then started oestrogen tablets the next day. I’d call your clinic and ask them as they may want to scan anyway to check. X

Ah interesting. I’m doing it with the NHS and they aren't scanning me until day15 of my cycle so I will badger them to see what I should do! Thank you.

Ah ok, I have another scan on day 15 too, so maybe the NHS skip the first one, I would still call them though and tell them you haven't had a full bleed yet and checking its still ok to start the oestrogen. Best of luck x

I had my period while down regging, I was told to start simulation regardless of period.

From that cycle I had my lovely daughter ❤️❤️❤️

Down regulation is usually used for those on the IVF long protocol to take control over your ovaries prior to starting the stimulation phase.
