I'm waiting to do the IVF treatment and they sent a letter from the clinic to postpone I think it must be because of the covid because they didn't even explain the reason. I'm 40 and I'm getting worried because I don't know when they're going to call me back. I would like to know if someone has already taken Clomid and if it worked, I was thinking of asking a doctor and see if it works. I don't know what to do

To start Clomid you mean? With Nhs I would say a year. With the private clinic they monitored my cycle for one month and given my past history of Pcos, anovulation and natural pregnancy/miscarriage, it only took one month for them to prescribe Clomid.
To be honest once I was referred to the NHS fertility clinic by the GP it was all very quick, I was impressed. But we decided to go with the private clinic in the end because they were doing more tests and monitoring. I hope you’ll start your treatment very soon!
I was referred in February I think and by August they wanted me to start the treatment. But I guess with IVF it might take a little longer. Best of luck x
I asked but my gynae said I couldn't have both of them, need to choose IVF or tablets. I was thinking going to a private to get Clomid while waiting for IVF. Thank you
I (stupidly) had 2 depo shots in 2018 and reacted badly to it, couldn’t stop bleeding so came off in Sept 18 & then didn’t have any bleeding till Dec 19! But tests showed I wasn’t ovulating & they didn’t know why. Had tons of blood tests, HCG one tube normal one occluded but no reason why I wasn’t ovulating at all.
Was put on Clomid, started bleeding on Day 14, still not ovulating. Gave up in the end and chose IVF. Only the IVF clinic did AMH (not NHS after 2 years of “process”) and it was 22, still don’t know why I wasn’t ovulating but I felt like I was just wasting time I didn’t have anymore.
It is important to be positive of course but it’s also important to be honest. I was only sharing my experience as not to give false hope, it doesn’t work for everyone & it didn’t work for me.
