Hi just looking for hopefully some positive feedback.
Partner and I have been ttc for 3 and a half years since having our first child. I have had the dye test and bloods all taken and semem analysis. All have come back as fine but still cannot get pregnant.
Hospital have now given me clomid to try and I dont know if I'm just being silly getting excited but I'm hoping as I do actually ovulate without the pills that hopefully with the pills it will work wonders.
Any other ladies who do ovulate and were put on clomid and it worked?
Or even just successful stories of ladies that didnt ovulate and it worked for

Hi jadevv. Just wanted to wish you well with the Clomid, as it can enhance ovulation. I did a huge study on the drug and found that it did help with undiagnosed fertility problems. Fingers crossed! Diane
Hi Jadew. It is just to get you to ovulate, then it is up to your collapsed follicle following ovulation to build up progesterone levels. Diane
Hi Jade, I too ovulate, but I ended up being given it as a boost, and something to try after not getting pregnant for 2 years + I got pregnant first month taking it but sadly early MC... It didn't work again for me but I moved onto IVF swiftly afterwards . Good luck!! X
Aww hun I'm so sorry to hear about your mc. I did manage to fall right at the beginning of this year but sadly that ended in mc too. I'm really hoping the clomid is the boost we need, I have everything crossed.
How has the ivf worked for you? Me and my partner have spoke about possibly going abroad for ivf in 2020 if the clomid doesnt work.
Aww massive congrats. Was that your first month on clomid?
They are going to scan me. I cant wait to see if it works for us, my new cycle has just started but I cant start the clomid until my next cycle as they want my partner to do just one more sperm analysis.
No my second this time. I didn't ovulate on the single dose, so they upped it to 2 a day and I had a 27mm follicle on day 11 scan, then blood test for progesterone on day 18. BFP on day 27. I wasn't having a bleed naturally and would go months before I had to take medication to force one. So I'm feeling very happy with how successful this has been for me!
I was told I most likely didn't ovulate so was given clomid before the ivf option.
I ovulated late on my first round of clomid and it wasn't known that I ovulated however I was using ovusense to track my ovulation. We were told to abandon the cycle but I managed to become pregnant on this late ovulation round but unfortunately had a miscarriage very early on.
I was then told to wait for my period before taking clomid at a higher dosage however after my miscarriage before my period even came as I have pcos and have irregular cycles anyways I managed to have a spontaneous pregnancy and fell pregnant naturally. I believe that something had triggered my hormones in my body and the mc allowed my body to accept another pregnancy. I'm currently 28 weeks and praying every day for a healthy baby and rest of pregnancy.
I also spoke to my specialist at the fertility clinic last year and she recommended that I take inofolic as I had pcos so that helped along with diet changes and keeping active.
Speak to your specialist and ask for what advice they can give on extra things you can do to help boost as I think sometimes they hold back.
Hope this helps or helps to ask more questions at your next appointment. All the best
