Should I test Early? IUI

I had my second try of IUI on 29/07/2020 so my official test day is 12/08/2020 but this round has felt completely different to the last which I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing.

Last time I had constant cramps from trigger day all the way through until period came, last time I had aching boobs, this time nothing, last time my emotions were completely whacked out but this time I've been calm however I am getting really apprehensive about the dreaded negative test and just want to get it over and done with.

Is it too soon?

Test on the day they told you. You won’t be able to rely on any result you get before that. It could cause you more heart ache if it’s wrong. You can do it, I know it’s easy to say but try to keep busy. Xxx

Yeah you’re right. It’s just so horrible, the not knowing! 10 years of infertility and I can’t wait another 2 weeks haha

I would wait & test on the day they told you. Enjoy the moments & stay positive. My clinic don’t advocate home pregnancy tests & prefer to have blood test done. My OTD was a sat & I had to wait until the Monday for the blood test. The waiting killed me & I caved, I did a home test on the Sunday (which was after my OTD!). So I know how hard it is but let your body do it’s thing. Keep yourself busy. It’ll be here before you know it. Big hugs Xx

Thank you. My family are telling me to test and saying its important because I might still have the Ovitrelle (trigger shot) in my system but Im certain that would be gone by now otherwise the hospital would have advised that.

I should take up knitting to keep my mind off it haha

Hang on if you can 🤗 for IUI even your test date is quite early on so testing now could cause you more worry. Glad to hear you’ve been nice and calm so far, I am in awe you just tell me your secret! 😊💓 xx

I think the stress got to me so badly last time and I didn’t realistically prepare myself for the negative. I was as optimistic as I could be but I also had it in my head like ‘yeah this is it’ and then when my period came it crushed me. I’ve learnt from it this time and although I do think about it constantly but this time I’m prepared for either outcome I think. Thank you for your advice too, I’ll definitely wait xx

I conceived my 3 year old daughter through iui she was my 2nd attempt and I felt no symptoms on my 2ww no cramps or anything. We are now trying for number 2 and I'm on my 3rd iui this time and have felt cramps backache achy boobs on the last 2 and this one. So for me no symptoms was a good thing. Feeling like this one isn't going to work either as I have cramps since day and my test date isn't till the 19th 😔

Aaww I hope you’re pleasantly surprised. My test day is tomorrow. I tested yesterday and it was negative so I’m fairly certain it has failed again. Achy boobs and cramps arrived too so period will be here before you know it. Nevermind. Onto round 3!

Best of luck to you hopefully ot doesn't come xx
