Do I test early? 7dp 5dt?!
I would say no. Simply for the fact that any result you get now may not be the same by otd. There’s a reason why we’re given an otd.. I’ve done 4 twws and as of today I’m on my 5th so I know how hard it is but I’ve not caved yet. Hang in there if you can and good luck! xx
Bless you, am only 4dp5dt and I am starting to go a bit nuts - but I think testing early will drive me more nuts. Distraction is key... all the best sweets xx
I'd say hold off if you can...just makes it worse. I say that now but in a couple weeks I will probably will be POAS as i still have 2 left in the cupboard...i should chuck them out now! 😂😂🤔 best of luck hun hang in there xx
It’s defo a personal choice but I would recommend holding out to OTD if you can xxx sending loads of positive vibes 💕
Don’t do it! I’m 10dp5dt and I will wait!
Thanks everyone, feeling a bit more encouraged to hold off and wait! Not long to go after all. Although it feels like it! 😂 xx
I tested on 7fp5dt and got my bfp but wait if you can as I think it causes more stress!
I also tested early and got my BFP early. But I’d previously had a chemical pregnancy (had I waited until OTD it would have been a negative and I’d have been none the wiser) and I spent the entire rest of the 2ww convinced that this one was going the same way, analysing any symptom etc. When I got a bit of spotting a couple of days after my BFP I was convinced it was all over - knew it wasn’t implantation bleeding as I’d already had my BFP. I even went for a 10pm trip to the shops one evening to buy myself another HPT. In short, I drove myself crazy with it. I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer about whether to test early or whether to wait - you know what you’re like and whether it will help or make you more anxious testing early. Good luck with your result, whatever you decide.
Personally I always felt it was better to hold out as you can’t trust an early result anyway. So it won’t relieve your worry.
I wanted to test before I got the call from the clinic with my blood results on 14dp5dt. Started testing from 9dp5dt.....couldn't wait.....went slightly bonkers, but got a negative every day unfortunately...🤪
I was afraid of false positives before then...

Hi ladies thanks for your advice, but after a very stressful day for both myself and my husband with us both doing lots of crying and falling out we thought It best for us to do a test first thing this morning.
It was negative 8dp5dt I have felt this result coming for a few days now and I no I could be seen as being negative but I just had I sense/feeling.
I did it because I felt I had lost control of my body but mostly my emotionions. Although I am upset I somehow feel at peace with the result. I have 3 more days to go before OTD but I feel more prepared for another negative result.
I am also thinking about seeing a councillor at my clinic I hope this will help me to try and deal with all the emotions I am feeling.
Your test could change & I do hope that's the case!! I was the same with testing early, felt so out of control not knowing it was making my levels of anxiety increase and although it's crap to see a negative test it was the right choice for me. Fingers crossed for you both for OTD!xx
