I had my 3rd IUI treatment 15 days ago. The doctor said ‘ideally’ wait until day 18 but when I explained that I have short cycles she said wait ‘at least 2 weeks’.
This morning I tested on day 15 and got a BFP. I’ve been cautiously so happy since then but have only been able to get hold of the clinic nurses station this afternoon. I’ve been told by the nurse I spoke to it could well be a false positive due to the Gonasi trigger shot.
I feel so so silly for testing early but the doctor seemed to support it. I’m now facing an agonising wait until day 18 after what’s been such a hard 2ww.
Any other early testers out there? I could do with some positive vibes as I feel so silly and scared right now.
Thanks for reading

Thank you! I tested after 15 days but the clinic nurses are saying you’re meant to wait 18 days 😬 I did another test this morning (16 days) and it’s still a BFP, so I’m feeling cautiously optimistic x
I’m keeping everything crossed for you that it stays (I’m sure it will 🤗). I just did my first IUI last Saturday after I only got one huge follicle in my first ivf cycle so they told me to try IUI as collecting was a risk and they didn’t want to lose the egg as the follicle looked good. I’m now on day 6 and analysing every ache and pain, I have an ache in my right side since yesterday (where the follicle was) and just praying it’s a good sign. Did you have any symptoms in the wait? X
Hi Clare, ah that’s interesting you ended up having IUI, sounds like a good plan but hope you’re feeling okay about it all as it must’ve been weird expecting to have IVF then having IUI. I took progesterone pessaries following the 3rd IUI, as I have short cycles and my period had come quite quickly with the first 2 tries, so the minimal cramping/bloating I’ve had, I’ve put down to side effects. I definitely don’t ‘feel’ pregnant though. Hope you’re finding the wait okay so far, it’s tough isn’t it. Wishing you loads of luck for a good outcome xx
