Early period by four days, no tummy ache and sore boobs- what is this??

Hi all

I’m just about to start my first round of IVF, I was waiting for my period to come (it was due on Wednesday) to then give the clinic a call to be told when to start my injections.....

Yesterday morning, I got up for my usual tiddle, only to find my monthly had started! It was bright red and had little bits in it.

I was shocked and annoyed as I usually have days of brown spotting first before AF makes her dramatic appearance and definitely cramps- I have had neither and still don’t.....

Now all I’ve got is the brown spotting and still no cramps but sore boobs.......

I’m annoyed it’s come like this as it now means all the dates I have booked off with work will need to be changed- it’s never early!

Has anyone else had this? I don’t think it’s implantation as, although the dates would add up, I think the colour of the blood was too red.....

Any advice/guidance/help! Would be gratefully received 😊

When I was starting this round mine unusually came early too. It was the one thing I had forgotten think flexibly about! Remember there are so many combinations of circumstances that mean your dates will change - forwards and back. Try to expect the unexpected so you’re not disappointed or surprised by anything.

If this is implantation the. That’s amazing! If your day 1 is early then you’ve got less time to wait. Good luck! X

Yep, mine were always 28 or 29 days after starting levothyroxine for thyroid issue. Due to start IVF and period came 2 days early. I was private so already had meds. Was told to start on 2nd day of period. So period started 30th jan, meds started 31st jan.

Hope you can get started and doesnt mean you have to postpone. If you do have to postpone, get the meds ready BEFORE you're period is due xx
